Day 4: The Father's Extravagant Love
Reading: 1 John 3:1-3; Luke 15:11-32

Devotional: "How great is the love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God!" The word "lavished" speaks of extravagance, abundance, and generosity beyond measure. Our Heavenly Father doesn't love us cautiously or conditionally—He pours out His love sacrificially and completely. This is the love we're called to reflect to our children and those we influence. Noah's 120 years of ark-building was lavish love in action. The prodigal's father running to embrace his wayward son demonstrated extravagant grace. As imperfect fathers and spiritual leaders, we model God's heart when we love sacrificially, forgive readily, and invest consistently in others' spiritual well-being. Your family needs to experience God's lavish love through your faithful presence and commitment.

Day 3: You Can Finish Better Than You Started

You can learn from failures. You can invest the Gospel into your children regardless of how you started. God specializes in redemption stories. Let yours be one of finishing strong.

Your obedience matters eternally.

Day 1: You Don't Have to Be Perfect

Devotional: God specializes in using imperfect people for His perfect purposes. He deliberately chooses the foolish, weak, and lowly things of this world to accomplish His greatest work. Why? So that no one can boast in their own strength or perfection. As fathers and spiritual leaders, we often feel inadequate for the task before us. We fear making mistakes or appearing incompetent. But God's economy works differently—He takes our humble offerings and multiplies them for His glory. Your imperfections don't disqualify you; they position you to depend on God's strength. Today, surrender your feelings of inadequacy to Him. Trust that He can work mightily through your willing, imperfect obedience.

You don't have to be perfect to be a perfect parent. This Father's Day message reminds every dad that God uses imperfect men for His perfect purposes. Noah built an ark for 120 years to save his family. Adam started poorly but finished well, teaching his sons to call on the Lord. Moses went from ignorance to becoming God's greatest prophet.

The pressure to be a flawless spiritual leader can paralyze us, but God chose "the foolish things of the world to shame the wise" (1 Corinthians 1:26-27). Your obedience today matters for tomorrow. What you invest in your children's faith now will bear fruit you may not see immediately.

Dads, your past doesn't disqualify you. You can finish better than you started. Get into God's presence, discover what He says, and love your family enough to share it with them. Our world desperately needs men willing to take risks of faith and lead their families toward Christ.
