Day 2: The Faith That Tears Through Roofs
Reading: Mark 2:3-5; Hebrews 11:1

The four men in Mark 2 refused to accept the crowd as a final answer. They climbed a roof, broke through it, and lowered their friend into the presence of Jesus. Hebrews 11:1 describes faith as the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not yet seen. These men embodied that definition completely. They did not wait for a more convenient moment or a less crowded room. They acted on what they believed. Genuine faith is not passive. It is determined, creative, and willing to do whatever is necessary to reach Jesus. The miracle did not happen until the men moved.

Reflection: Is your faith active and desperate, or has it settled into comfortable routine?

Practical Application: Identify one situation in your life where you have stopped pressing through. Write it down, pray over it with renewed determination, and take one concrete step of faith toward it this week.

Day 1: When Jesus Is in the House
Reading: Mark 2:1-5

In Mark 2, the passage describes a scene where the news of Jesus returning to Capernaum spreads rapidly, drawing such a crowd that the house overflows. The focal point is not the miracle itself but the presence of Christ. Everything fruitful begins and ends with Him. Revival is not a program, a style of worship, or a season on a church calendar. It is the manifest presence of Jesus drawing people irresistibly to Himself. The question worth sitting with today is not whether God is capable of filling your church or your life, but whether Christ is truly the center of it. When He is the focus, everything else aligns accordingly.

Reflection: Is Jesus the undisputed center of your daily life, or has something else quietly taken His place?

Practical Application: Identify one area of your life this week where you have been operating independently of Christ. Surrender that area to Him in prayer today and ask Him to become the center of it.

What happens when Jesus shows up and everything changes? Revival is something we pray for, long for, and celebrate -- but are we truly prepared for what comes with it?

In Mark 2, four desperate men tore through a roof to get their friend to Jesus. A man walked out healed. The crowd was amazed. But somebody still had to fix the roof. Revival brings miracles, but it also brings responsibility.

Are you ready to welcome the stranger, disciple the new believer, serve the overwhelmed, and carry someone else's need to the feet of Jesus? God is not just calling us to pray for revival -- He is calling us to prepare for it.

Day 5: Building on the Rock That Will Not Move

Reading: Matthew 7:24-29 - Jesus concludes His sermon by comparing those who hear and obey His words to a wise builder whose house withstands the storm, and those who hear but do not obey to a foolish builder whose house collapses completely.

Devotional: Storms are not hypothetical in this passage - they are certain. Jesus does not say a storm might come; He says the rain descended, the floods came, and the winds blew. The only variable is what your life is built upon when they arrive. The teaching of Christ throughout the Sermon on the Mount is not a collection of inspiring ideas -- it is a blueprint for a life that will not be destroyed when it is tested. Obedience is not optional for the one who wants to stand. It is the very act of building on the rock. The Word must be the final authority over your emotions, your culture, your opinions, and your circumstances. When you have done everything - stand, because the foundation beneath you will not shift.

Reflection Question: When the storms of life have come against you, what did your response reveal about the foundation you were standing on?

Practical Application: Write down one specific area of your life where you have been hearing God's Word but not yet applying it. Make a decision today to move from hearing to doing, and ask God to give you the strength and courage to build faithfully on His truth.

Day 4: Known by God, Not Just Busy for God

Reading: Matthew 7:21-23 - Jesus declares that not everyone who calls Him Lord will enter the kingdom of heaven, and that many who performed mighty works in His name will be told He never knew them.

Devotional: These are among the most sobering words in all of Scripture. Activity in the name of God is not the same as intimacy with God. It is entirely possible to preach, to serve, to perform spiritual works, and still be a stranger to the One whose name you carry. The false prophet is not always the obvious villain - sometimes he is the busy, productive, outwardly successful minister who has never truly surrendered his heart. The question Jesus asks is not what you have done but whether you are known by Him. Relationship with Christ is the only foundation that will hold when everything else is stripped away.

Reflection Question: Is your spiritual life driven more by performance and activity, or by genuine relationship and surrender to Christ?

Practical Application: Set aside fifteen minutes today with no agenda other than simply being in God's presence - no requests, no Bible study plan, no checklist - just stillness and surrender before Him.

Day 3: The Warning Against a Gospel That Has Been Changed

Reading: Galatians 1:6-9 -- Paul expresses astonishment that the Galatians have so quickly turned away from the true Gospel to a distorted version, and declares that anyone who preaches a different gospel stands under condemnation.

Devotional: Paul does not mince words here, and neither should we. The Gospel is not a platform for personal agendas, cultural accommodation, or career advancement. When a teacher begins to reshape the message of Christ to avoid offense, to gain popularity, or to serve their own interests, they have stepped into dangerous territory. The truth of Scripture is not ours to edit. It is ours to proclaim, to live, and to protect. There is a cost to faithfulness, and many have chosen comfort over that cost. Do not be among those who trade the eternal weight of truth for the momentary approval of people.

Reflection Question: Are there areas in your own life where you have softened your convictions to avoid conflict or gain acceptance?

Practical Application: Identify one truth from Scripture that you have been hesitant to live out openly, and take one concrete step this week toward living that truth with greater boldness.
