SUNDAY RECAP | What a blessing it is to be part of a church FAMILY!
What a blessing it is to gather in the Lord’s house each week with our church family. This past Sunday was nothing short of a beautiful day spent honoring God and remembering one of His good and faithful servants, and a beloved member of our church family, whom He called home earlier in the week.
It was also the first Sunday of the month, which means BGMC Sunday! Our Missions Coordinator shared with us about Paraguay and reminded us of the importance of raising up the next generation with a heart for missions and reaching people around the world with the Gospel.
We were also blessed to hear an incredible message from our First Lady, Pastor Andrea Vanness.
God certainly used her to speak to our hearts Sunday morning. (If you missed the sermon- stayed tuned because the sermon highlights are coming!)
And after morning service, we did what family does best—we showed up.
Our church family gathered around the Vanness family as they celebrated the life of James Milo Vanness Sr. We loved on them, supported them, prayed with them, and stood beside them as they honored a life well lived.
And I don’t know about y’all, but when I heard we were having “second church” at the funeral, I wasn’t about to miss whatever message God had for us.
There is something incredibly special about having a church family that accepts you as you are, loves you where you are, and SHOWS UP wherever you are.
Because that’s what family does.
And especially when you hear your pastor is preaching… 👀You already know Cornerstone is showing up! (Because the first 3 closings 😉 just wasn’t enough .. we wanted more!)
We continue to surround Pastor Charles, Pastor Andrea, and the entire Vanness family with our love and prayers in the days ahead.
We don’t just go to church together. We do life together.
What a blessing it is to call Cornerstone home.
