(6)

Wesley Chapel UMC was established on December 17, 1891, by black farm families in the community of Leguin, approximately 10 miles outside the city limits of Covington, GA. Five trustees of the Thomas Hill Methodist Episcopal Church came together and organized Wesley Chapel after they received a deed for one acre of property, and this is still the property that Wesley Chapel resides on today. With

renovations and rebuilding, Wesley Chapel UMC continues to be a church that believes in giving God our very best. We are grateful to God; for throughout the course of time, Wesley Chapel UMC has had many people that have contributed to our continued success.
