What a day. 🦞🍋

Last Saturday was filled with good food, great conversations, lots of laughter, and a reminder of how thankful we are for the people God has placed in our church family.

From sharing crawfish around the table to watching kids play and families connect, it was a beautiful afternoon spent together. Even with the weather uncertainty, God gave us a wonderful day to gather, fellowship, and enjoy His faithfulness.

Thank you to everyone who helped make it happen and to everyone who came out. We’re grateful for a church family that loves doing life together.

Good food. Good friends. God’s faithfulness. 💛

Pentecost Sunday is a reminder that when the fire of God fell, everything changed. 🔥

God is not calling us into casual Christianity.
He’s calling us into closeness.

Not just enough fire to feel inspired for a moment —
but enough surrender to actually be transformed.

Consistency.
Patience.
Intentionality.
Prayer.
These are the places where intimacy with God is built.

Prayer is oxygen in our lungs.
Without it, we slowly drift into surface-level faith while convincing ourselves we’re still alive spiritually.

But Jesus sees beneath the surface.

He’s still redeeming.
Still purifying.
Still calling His people deeper.

May we never settle for lukewarm faith when the presence of God is available to us in fullness. ✝️

Acts 2 reminds us:
when the fire of God fell, everything changed.

ONE WEEK AWAY
Starting next Wednesday…

We’re beginning Tab Chapel focused on Ecclesiology — the study of the Church and God’s design for it.

Over the next few weeks, Pastor Mitchell will be walking us through what Scripture teaches about the Church, community, discipleship, leadership, and living as the Body of Christ.

If you’ve ever wanted a deeper understanding of why we do what we do as believers, this is for you.

Wednesdays • 6:30pm
Starting June 3

Come ready to learn, grow, and lean deeper into God’s purpose for His Church.

Today we remember the men and women who gave their lives in service to others.

Their sacrifice reminds us that love is more than words — true love lays itself down.

As we honor those who served with courage and selflessness, may we also reflect on the greatest sacrifice ever made through Jesus Christ, whose love brings hope, freedom, and peace that lasts beyond this life.

We pray for every family carrying loss today and ask God to bring comfort, strength, and peace.

“Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.” — John 15:13 🇺🇸

One of the best parts of church is community ❤️

This Saturday we get to gather around tables, share a meal, laugh a lot, and spend time together at our Covington Campus Crawfish Boil.

And for everyone watching the forecast — don’t worry! Covered seating will be available, rain or shine ☔️🦞

Everyone planning to attend should be registered so we can make sure food and seating are prepared for everyone coming. We’re excited to spend the day together! ✨

We’ll also have games and a spacewalk for the kids, so bring the whole family and make a day of it 👏

Good food. Good friends. God’s faithfulness. 🔥

Being a child of God means the world doesn’t identify who we are.

We don’t have to chase identity because we’ve already been given one through Christ. The world may try to define us by our past, failures, or circumstances, but God calls us chosen, loved, and His own.

“See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God!” — 1 John 3:1

So thankful for what God is doing in this season. 🤍
