Today at Journey Forward Academy, we welcomed Dr. LaTavia Williams with IMATTER! We experienced something truly powerful. Our middle and high school students were informed, encouraged, and surrounded with compassion during an impactful conversation about su***de prevention and mental wellness.
A heartfelt thank-you to Dr. Latavia Williams for coming prepared with the facts, creating a safe space, and opening the door for our students to express themselves honestly and openly. Her message reminded us that every student matters, every voice deserves to be heard, and asking for help is a sign of strength.
Every activity was packed with purpose, connection, and hope. We are grateful for the meaningful conversations, the courage shown by our students, and the continued work of building a school community where no one has to face difficult moments alone.
You matter. Your feelings matter. Your life matters. ๐Ÿ’™
