A kind word may seem small to you, but to someone carrying a heavy heart, it might be exactly what they need today.

So send the text. Make the call. Give the compliment. Remind someone that they matter, that they’re appreciated, and that they’re not walking through life unnoticed.

You never know how much lighter someone’s day can become because you chose to speak a little kindness into it. ❤️

Church family! September is filled with opportunities to connect, grow and serve together! We encourage you to invite a friend or someone you have been missing lately.

If you are looking for a church home we would love to have you join us. Services are 8:30am and 11am on Sunday mornings. There will be someone at the door to greet you and welcome you. There are opportunities for everyone, all ages, to grow in your faith together.

Love one another.

It sounds simple, but those three words can shape the way we live, the way we treat people, and the kind of community we create together.

Near the end of his time with his disciples, Jesus kept returning to that message: love one another as I have loved you.

Love looks like noticing people. Listening. Showing up. Offering grace. Forgiving. Encouraging. Making room at the table. Caring for someone when life gets heavy. Choosing kindness even when it would be easier not to.

We may not always agree. We may not always get it right. But we can always keep choosing love.

Imagine what our homes, our church, and our community might look like if we made that our goal each day: to leave people feeling a little more seen, a little more valued, and a little more loved.

“Three things will last forever—faith, hope, and love—and the greatest of these is love.”
1 Corinthians 13:13

May Covington First UMC always be a place where people experience all three—and especially love. ❤️
