At times we can view our pastors as just the job description or our expectations of them. However, we can lose sight that these men are not only human and have the same flaws and struggles we all have, but often they are on the frontlines of our spiritual battlefield.

Our pastors need people that are willing to stand with them. They need people that will pray for the person and not just the position. They need people to lift them up in encouragement, even if there are struggles in the church. They need the people that are willing to walk with them and help carry their burdens. Our pastors need us to be their brother or sister in Christ first.

Our team had the opportunity to participate in the Nonprofit Fundraising Intensive sponsored by one of our partners, Winshape Leadership, this week. We would ask that you join us in praying that we can take the information gained and be able to use it as we walk alongside churches through the revitalization process.

We thank God for continuing to bring the pieces together for LIFE at White Oak Hills Baptist Church. As we work to continue bringing the final pieces together, would you continue praying with us? We believe God will use this initiative to bring people from the Redan community to Himself. We also believe this can help create a bridge to connect generations that each bring their own wisdom and strengths given by God.

Our prayer is that God would continue bringing the pieces together in a way that we can only point back to Him. As we continue to sign up volunteers and participants, that He would open our eyes to see where He is working, and guide our actions and words to be used for His work.

We are excited to be partnering with White Oak Hills Baptist Church for their LIFE(Linking Individuals for Empowerment) initiative. They will be focused on community outreach by providing an initiative designed to bring the youth and advanced generations together for collaborative life skills learning and teaching. We had the opportunity to celebrate in worship yesterday with them and deliver a message of encouragement and challenge from Charles Reynolds(the executive director of the Kingdom Growth Foundation).
It was humbling to see the resounding response from the congregation to our 14 day prayer challenge. We are committing to spend the next 14 days in prayer trying God’s way, trusting His promise to take care of all the details if we remain focused on His Kingdom. We look forward to sharing more about LIFE in the coming days, but we are asking that you will join us in prayer as we approach the kickoff date.
