How to trigger
1. Tell them to read the bible.
2. Tell them, "No you didn't read it, ACTUALLY read it!"
3. Tell them that reading their book is not prosecuting or bullying them.
4. Tell them about Romans 13.
5. Tell them any verses about welcoming foreigners.
6. Tell them any verse about forgiving other peoples sins.
7. Tell them any verse about something not prolife.
8. Tell them "he who is without sin shall cast the first stone.
9. Ask them to explicitly state their favorite bible verse, why, and what it means.
10. Tell them about how woke Jesus was and making fun of woke people is making fun of Jesus.
11. Tell them forgiving student debt for those who can't pay it back is essentially the same thing as Jesus dying on the cross because he took our debt over something we couldn't pay for.
12. Tell them just because you go to church doesn't make you more Christian.
13. Remind them that God knows what's in their hearts and trying to hide it doesn't work.
14. Remind them about the 10 commandments, especially about bearing false witness.
15. Remind them that many false prophets will come and swear they bring truth.
16. Tell them they need to learn humility.
17. Tell them condemning others as a judge only condemns their own self in the process.
18. Tell them its better to have compassion than to always be right.
19. Tell them they pray God will make the right decision no matter what they believe they want.
20. Remind them that faith without works is useless.

LET'S TALK ABOUT ROMANS 13!!!

Romans 13
Romans 13:1
1 Let everyone be subject to the governing authorities, for there is no authority except that which God has established. The authorities that exist have been established by God.
2 Consequently, whoever rebels against the authority is rebelling against what God has instituted, and those who do so will bring judgment on themselves.
3 For rulers hold no terror for those who do right, but for those who do wrong. Do you want to be free from fear of the one in authority? Then do what is right and you will be commended.
4 For the one in authority is God’s servant for your good. But if you do wrong, be afraid, for rulers do not bear the sword for no reason. They are God’s servants, agents of wrath to bring punishment on the wrongdoer.
5 Therefore, it is necessary to submit to the authorities, not only because of possible punishment but also as a matter of conscience.
6 This is also why you pay taxes, for the authorities are God’s servants, who give their full time to governing.
7 Give to everyone what you owe them: If you owe taxes, pay taxes; if revenue, then revenue; if respect, then respect; if honor, then honor.
8 Let no debt remain outstanding, except the continuing debt to love one another, for whoever loves others has fulfilled the law.
9 The commandments, “You shall not commit adultery,” “You shall not murder,” “You shall not steal,” “You shall not covet,” and whatever other command there may be, are summed up in this one command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.”
10 Love does no harm to a neighbor. Therefore love is the fulfillment of the law.
11 And do this, understanding the present time: The hour has already come for you to wake up from your slumber, because our salvation is nearer now than when we first believed.
12 The night is nearly over; the day is almost here. So let us put aside the deeds of darkness and put on the armor of light.
13 Let us behave decently, as in the daytime, not in carousing and drunkenness, not in sexual immorality and debauchery, not in dissension and jealousy.
14 Rather, clothe yourselves with the Lord Jesus Christ, and do not think about how to gratify the desires of the flesh.

There is quite a bit to drop here. There sure are a lot of 'Christians' who insist that Trump is hand chosen by God. Well, I guess he was the chosen one in 2016 over Hillary Clinton. This was well before I was more in tune with the bible, but I digress. Anyways...

We have a man, who seems a lot of...we shall call it "apathetic" about the results of the 2020 election, and as of March 24th, 2024, he has STILL never accepted the results of the election. Now, I am not here to essentially shame or condemn him here, because that is not what we as Christians should be doing. I won't go into details because we all know everything that has gone on since his election loss and things that have (or to some, have) not happened.

I know the bible states that many christians will be easily fooled, and it pains my heart to see so many people follow this man, not so much as a worship idol, but more of a 'we absolutely refuse to change our choice' type of candidate. But one thing we need to get out so all of these christians know where the bible stands regardless of who does win this years election.

I want the world to remember and study Romans 13. This chapter heavily leans on established authority on Earth. No one knew almost 2000 years later, things would get as hectic as they have! But to not lose touch, we have in the US not just the president, but many different positions in the senate.

Verses 1 through 8, talk about how those who are picked in this country are appointed by God himself, and those who refuse to work with said authority, also rejects God's decision and for shortening up explanation, 'opening a can of worms.'

Regardless if Biden or Trump wins, we must accept through the bible that this is actually the pick of God himself. If anyone wants to say God would never support Biden, I want you to name one person God WOULDN'T support, even if they do not follow him. God loves all of his children and unless one wants to refuse their love for him, he refuses no love for anyone. So, if you feel the need to say "Biden winning is bu****it" or "they cheated again" or "this is the devils work," just remember: THIS CHAPTER CONFIRMS GOD'S OWN DECISION!

Verses 6 through 8 talk about making sure you pay your due finances to those who you are required to pay to. I'm gonna go nonchalantly whistling in the corner of my room not thinking about medical bills...

Anyways, if we have new taxes coming out of any types of deals going on, then go ahead and begin to pay up. The bible says so. =P It also says that the only debt we should carry is to continue to loving one another. Hmm, that doesn't bode well for about 80% of the nation already, and some days this is REALLY hard to do..

Now here is the big one: Holy moly, verses 9 through 14. Verse 9 pretty much states summing up all commands as a single command: Love your neighbor as yourself! 10 carries on saying that Love does no harm to a neighbor. Therefore love is the fulfillment of the law.

Lastly, verses 11 through 14, explain how our salvation is much nearer than we think, and this was written almost 2000 years ago! Wow! God is waiting for just the right time huh? Oh, it also talks about not engaging in carousing (that's being a noisy drunk), or sleep with people you're not fully committed to, and debauchery.

Well, here is the big one. Not in dissension and jealousy. Man, the two party system just can't get over THIS hump! It's all he said/she said, all of the "but they did it too!" Yeah, guess what? We all drink water too! We need to be clothed more to serve our Lord Jesus Christ and not gratify desires of the flesh. Yeah, a lot of election banter on both sides, like stickers, billboards, campaigning, are pretty bad here.

We are all so human to forget we easily obsess over happiness, and it's still sad that not all forms of happiness are sound for the lord (use your imagination if you dare).

This chapter. This just sounds like it is one of the most crucial lessons we as christians need to get back in control of and start loving one another again. We need to stop obsessing over our flesh and desires and rekindle our flame back to Christ.

I know a lot of people are going to have very mixed emotions about this post, but if you made it this far on this post and were looking for a reminder to look back your own reflection: here it is.

Lord knows we are all trying to do our best, we just lost what it means to be on the same page!!!

Everyone is talking about how awful the border is and all of the "illegals" coming into our nation, and messing stuff up. Sadly, a large chunk of those people claim to be Christians and God put Trump in charge and all that junk.

Welp, if you claim to be the Christian that you are, here are 30+, I repeat, THIRTY+ bible verses that talk about welcoming other people from other lands. Every time you talk about "illegals" being "in the way", here are 30 reasons you are wrong. :)

Genesis 12:1
1 The LORD had said to Abram, “Go from your country, your people and your father’s household to the land I will show you.

Genesis 12:10
10 Now there was a famine in the land, and Abram went down to Egypt to live there for a while because the famine was severe.

Deuteronomy 10:18-19
18 He defends the cause of the fatherless and the widow, and loves the foreigner residing among you, giving them food and clothing. 19 And you are to love those who are foreigners, for you yourselves were foreigners in Egypt.

Deuteronomy 24:14
14 Do not take advantage of a hired worker who is poor and needy, whether that worker is a fellow Israelite or a foreigner residing in one of your towns.

Deuteronomy 24:19-22
19 When you are harvesting in your field and you overlook a sheaf, do not go back to get it. Leave it for the foreigner, the fatherless and the widow, so that the LORD your God may bless you in all the work of your hands.
20 When you beat the olives from your trees, do not go over the branches a second time. Leave what remains for the foreigner, the fatherless and the widow.
21 When you harvest the grapes in your vineyard, do not go over the vines again. Leave what remains for the foreigner, the fatherless and the widow.
22 Remember that you were slaves in Egypt. That is why I command you to do this.

Deuteronomy 26:5
5 Then you shall declare before the LORD your God: “My father was a wandering Aramean, and he went down into Egypt with a few people and lived there and became a great nation, powerful and numerous.

Deuteronomy 27:19
19 “Cursed is anyone who withholds justice from the foreigner, the fatherless or the widow.” Then all the people shall say, “Amen!”

Exodus 12:49
49 The same law applies both to the native-born and to the foreigner residing among you.”

Exodus 22:21
21 “Do not mistreat or oppress a foreigner, for you were foreigners in Egypt.

Exodus 23:9
9 “Do not oppress a foreigner; you yourselves know how it feels to be foreigners, because you were foreigners in Egypt.

Ezekiel 22:7
7 In you they have treated father and mother with contempt; in you they have oppressed the foreigner and mistreated the fatherless and the widow.

Galatians 3:28
28 There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.

Hebrews 13:2
2 Do not forget to show hospitality to strangers, for by so doing some people have shown hospitality to angels without knowing it.

James 1:27
27 Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.

Leviticus 23:22
22 “ ‘When you reap the harvest of your land, do not reap to the very edges of your field or gather the gleanings of your harvest. Leave them for the poor and for the foreigner residing among you. I am the LORD your God.’ ”

Leviticus 24:22
22 You are to have the same law for the foreigner and the native-born. I am the LORD your God.’ ”

Leviticus 19:33-34
33 “ ‘When a foreigner resides among you in your land, do not mistreat them.
34 The foreigner residing among you must be treated as your native-born. Love them as yourself, for you were foreigners in Egypt. I am the LORD your God.

Leviticus 25:35
35 “ ‘If any of your fellow Israelites become poor and are unable to support themselves among you, help them as you would a foreigner and stranger, so they can continue to live among you.

Malachi 3:5
5 “So I will come to put you on trial. I will be quick to testify against sorcerers, adulterers and perjurers, against those who defraud laborers of their wages, who oppress the widows and the fatherless, and deprive the foreigners among you of justice, but do not fear me,” says the LORD Almighty.

Matthew 25:35
35 For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in,

Matthew 25:31-46
31 “When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, he will sit on his glorious throne.
32 All the nations will be gathered before him, and he will separate the people one from another as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats.
33 He will put the sheep on his right and the goats on his left.
34 “Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world.
35 For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in,
36 I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’
37 “Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink?
38 When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you?
39 When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’
40 “The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’
41 “Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels.
42 For I was hungry and you gave me nothing to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink,
43 I was a stranger and you did not invite me in, I needed clothes and you did not clothe me, I was sick and in prison and you did not look after me.’
44 “They also will answer, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or needing clothes or sick or in prison, and did not help you?’
45 “He will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.’
46 “Then they will go away to eternal punishment, but the righteous to eternal life.”

Philippians 3:20
20 But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ,

Psalms 146:9
9 The LORD watches over the foreigner and sustains the fatherless and the widow, but he frustrates the ways of the wicked.

Zechariah 7:9-10
9 “This is what the LORD Almighty said: ‘Administer true justice; show mercy and compassion to one another.
10 Do not oppress the widow or the fatherless, the foreigner or the poor. Do not plot evil against each other.’

Jeremiah 7:5-7
5 If you really change your ways and your actions and deal with each other justly,
6 if you do not oppress the foreigner, the fatherless or the widow and do not shed innocent blood in this place, and if you do not follow other gods to your own harm,
7 then I will let you live in this place, in the land I gave your ancestors for ever and ever.

Also, feel free to read the entirety of Genesis 11 as well as Romans 13 for some really heavy hitting stuff!

It's been a good while since I have touched this page, and with how heated up the presidental election will be this year, people seem to be throwing God around rather ignorantly as well as a lot of false witness, so this page is going to be very much active for a little while..

Today's lesson: Humility

It's been a very rough 2 days. My oldest pet tarantula that I have had since I turned 13 years old died unexpectedly Saturday night. I took it very poorly. I ended up drinking to the point where I drank myself to a .28 BAC.
For the lack of a better term, I had to wash the sheets, My wife had to help me up plenty of times back to bed, had to be woken up multiple times to where I just couldn't handle myself.

After having a little bit of time to get myself fixed up, I cooled off and issued the absolute largest of apologies to my mother and also my wife for my terrible reactions for everything that went into place. It hurt doing all of this, but I had to swallow my pride and be aware of this thing called...humility. I made a terrible choice and am still paying for it as of this typing out.

Yeah, I did a bunch of wholly boneheaded things in my life, and one thing I had a terrible job doing for many years is being humble in my mistakes and admit my wrongdoing. The catch is, it hurts to lose pride, but that's not entirely a bad thing to have that pain. After all, pride is one of the absolute hardest sins for christians to overcome. Absolutely no one likes to be called out as being wrong.

During a time where we have so much political indifference in the US and people absolutely insist that the stereotypical right have all of the answers to always pick God and the bible well over what other people say. Yeah, politics are just terrible these days. You get sucked into so many people that are usually more wrong than they are right, but they're not convinced by no amount of logic you can give someone that they have done anything right.

It eventually gets to the point where people will considerably dig their selves into an even deeper hole than they previously when they were called out to do right by their error. But how is it that so many Christians have no way of knowing they're wrong about certain things or overlook the fact that their own hard pressed beliefs are incorrect to the original ideas of "he who is without sin shall cast the first stone?"

I think if many christians could relearn what humility is and learn to humble yourself better, a lot less hate would be spewed around. I've acknowledged many times I'm not the perfect Christian, but I certainly know how I'm NOT supposed to be treating people. How would you want to teach others to hold your tongue better before spewing some hateful things?

The bible says to not tolerate or encourage lots of sinful behaviors, but it also said to love other sinners as Jesus/God has loved you. How do people get it so wrong and then can't apologizing for jumping the gun?

One passage I picked out of the internet with Proverbs are Proverbs 11:2 "When pride comes, then comes disgrace, but with the humble is wisdom." People can grow closer and learn from a lot from humility if people can just let their selfishness as well as one sided minds go for a minute. Another passage picked is James 4:10 says "Humble yourselves before the Lord, and he will exalt you." Again, with learning to accept humility, God/Jesus can absolutely shower us with grace knowing we were able to say sorry.

I wish I could see Christians relearn humility and relearn to be humble. Christianity doesn't have to hurt, but I can say if it hurts to drop even an ounce of defense, there is something you need to apologize for. That is way easier said than done though. Regardless of ones religious views (or in those rare instances of no religious backgrounds) there is no free pass in the bible to treat those who sin against you like...well, crap.

If someone has done wrong to you and they realize that, doesn't that apology feel great? Well, they had to muster up the courage to be able to tell you they were sorry. What is preventing you from doing the same to another being when YOU have been wrong? There is nothing that states you will remain stupid if you are caught being wrong. It is far better to show you have learned from a mistake and try your best to do better than it would to just escape from being responsible.

God/Jesus consistently forgive us when we are wrong, why is it so hard to do that to your brothers and sisters in Christ?

If there is one thing I would like everyone to consider thinking about if you have read this post today. Don't pick what is right or wrong because of what the media says, or potentially even what a book or another being says. Pick right from wrong based on what your heart says. If you have an ounce of consciousness and grace in your heart, you'll know when you are potentially wrong about something. I know we are so much better than this. Let's get it right before it gets much worse.

If you are wanting to chime in and share you own personal experiences. Feel more than welcome to! If you have some ideas to share to teach people better, share those as well. Just remember to be civil in comments.

Hello all!
I said towards the end of the year of 2022 I would consider starting a personal blog/writing project for a page.
This page is intended to document of many of the happenings that a modern day Christian goes through and tries to do the right thing, no matter how bad it hurts, even if it's myself.

I chose the name "The Manic Christian" being one of my favorite songs from a Christian metal band named Wage War, off their album titled, "Manic."

According to the Oxford dictionary, manic is defined as "showing wild, apparently deranged, excitement and energy." As well as, "frenetically busy; frantic."

Given the current state of all of the worlds affairs rights now (they won't be listed in this first post and trust me, many things will be openly explored on this blog), this is how a lot of christians should be feeling as of now, but it seems to fall under deaf ears and lazy eyes right now.

Given how many times I try to do the right thing, whether it's trying to prevent myself from a deliberate sin or trying to better myself, seeing many situations have left me pretty manic my own self.

So, that is how I began this name as well as page. I really hope many people will like to follow along. Any and all beings are more than welcome to chime in on any feelings, ideas, suggestions, or even counteract anything I say on this blog post.

This blog is going to reveal well more than I would comfortably talk about in person, but I am always open to hear more from those who follow. I am not against hearing different ideas to help find ways to better understand things. You all are just as part of my life as my own walk with Christ is.

I hope you all follow along and give feedback as things progress. This is my opening post just giving a brief background of what this is going to become.

If you have any types of subjects you would like explored, feel more than welcome to suggest them to me.

I also kind of want to leave a song at the end of every post, just for some continuity to the posts I make or give something to entertain yourself with. This week, I'll drop the very song that inspired me to make this post.
Hope you all enjoy "Manic" by "Wage War."
