Series: ACTS: The Church Unleashed: The Revolution of Grace
Week 18: Acts 18:1-11
Message: Encouraged in Corinth: “Don’t Quit”
Sometimes God’s greatest work begins in a place that feels ordinary, lonely, or even discouraging. In Acts 18:1–11, Paul arrives in Corinth carrying the weight of ministry, uncertainty, and opposition, yet God meets him there with people, purpose, and a powerful promise: “Don’t be afraid. Keep on speaking. Don’t quit.” The Message reminds us that when we feel like we are standing alone, God is already at work behind the scenes, strengthening us, opening doors, and reminding us that our circumstances do not determine our assignment. Paul’s story challenges us today: When God has called you to keep going, don’t let a difficult season convince you that the work is over.
Isaiah 54:10 says…”His love won’t walk away from you; His covenant commitment of peace won’t fall apart. The God who has compassion on you says so.”
Communion:
This weekend, we invite everyone ages 5 and up to join us for a special worship gathering to unite our entire church family, both on campus and online, in meaningful worship and celebration.
As part of the service, we will share in the Lord’s Supper. Those attending on campus are invited to come forward to receive the elements, return to their seats, and partake together when prompted. If you prefer or need to remain seated, you will be graciously served where you are.
For those joining online, we encourage you to prepare crackers and juice in advance so you can participate fully. We look forward to worshiping and celebrating together as one church family.
Membership & Baptism
Are you ready to take the next step in your faith journey? Whether you are interested in becoming a member of the NCF family or would like to be baptized, we would love to connect with you! Indicate your interest on the Connection Card available at the entrances of the Worship Center. Complete the card and place it in the black offering box. A member of our staff team will follow up with you and provide information about the next steps.
We look forward to walking alongside you as you grow in your faith and become more connected to the NCF family!
All-Church Worship Service & BBQ
The congregations of Light of the World Church of the Nazarene and Neighborhood Christian Fellowship will gather for a combined worship service at 10:00 a.m. on Sunday, September 13, followed by a BBQ luncheon.

This special day will also provide an opportunity to celebrate Pastor Joe and Cindy and thank them for their faithful leadership and ministry over the past five years.
Seating & Services Information:
The main Worship Center will feature comfortable, stadium-style seating. There will be coffee-table seating in the overflow areas. We invite everyone attending Neighborhood to bring a Bible with them to each service. If you don’t have one, no worries; Bibles, sermon notes, pens, and highlighters are our gift to you and are available at every entrance and in all overflow spaces.
This week, coffee, beverages, and snacks will be located in the overflow areas of the worship center. At the conclusion of the service, please help us by placing cups, plates, and napkins in the proper receptacles. Thank you!
For those joining remotely, services are available online via Facebook and YouTube.

Worship in Giving:
Giving Box:
Located at the back of the Worship Center, this space is available during each service as a simple and meaningful way to participate, whether by giving tithes, offerings, or financial gifts, or by sharing prayer requests and ministry contact information. Every response is valued, and every gift matters.
It is our prayer that God will use each gift to help make the coming year our most fruitful yet, both in ministry and in financial stewardship.
QR Codes and Online Giving:
For convenience, QR Codes are located around campus and online for our church families, making it easy to support the church's ministries financially.
SHALOM!
Pastor Joe
