How do you respond when your faith is tested, your circumstances are uncertain, and you find yourself under pressure?

In Acts 24, Paul stands before Governor Felix, facing polished accusations, political pressure, and an uncertain future. Yet he refuses to panic, compromise, or retreat. Instead, he responds with a reasoned faith; a faith that knows what it believes, understands why it believes it, and boldly stands on the truth. As Paul speaks about faith in Christ, righteousness, self-control, and coming judgment, something unexpected happens: the prisoner becomes the one confronting the powerful with truth. Because a reasoned faith doesn’t crumble when it is challenged, it becomes stronger. It is anchored not in circumstances, but in Christ. Come worship with us this weekend as we discover what it means to stand firm, speak truth, and live out a faith that is deeply rooted in Christ.

We invite everyone attending Neighborhood to bring a Bible with them to each service. If you don’t have one, no worries; Bibles, sermon notes, pens, and highlighters are our gift to you and are available at every entrance and in all overflow spaces. Coffee, beverages, and snacks will be located in the overflow areas of the worship center. At the conclusion of the service, please help us by placing cups, plates, and napkins in the proper receptacles. Thank you! They say, “A picture is worth a thousand words.”
This picture tells a beautiful story. While a homeless neighbor’s pushcart, holding the few possessions they have, sits unattended outside, a Neighborhood attendant sits beside it in prayer, praying for its owner as they joined the Sunday morning worship. The cart represents their possessions. The prayer represents our love.
This is who we are.
Love God. Love Others.

Have you ever done the right thing and still ended up in the middle of a storm? That is where we find Paul in Acts 23. He has preached the gospel, followed God’s call, and remained faithful. Yet now he is surrounded by angry people, facing false accusations, and caught in a dangerous political and religious conflict. But Acts 23 reminds us that opposition does not mean God has abandoned us. In the middle of the chaos, the Lord comes alongside Paul and tells him to “take courage,” because his assignment is not finished. Paul’s circumstances may have been uncertain, but God’s purpose was not. And that is the word for us this weekend: when the road gets difficult, when people misunderstand you, and when you cannot see what tomorrow holds, God is still at work, and your circumstances do not cancel His purpose in your life.

Family Sunday and Communion:

This weekend, we invite everyone ages 5 and up to join us for a special worship gathering as we come together as one church family, both on campus and online, for a meaningful time of worship and celebration. As part of the service, we will share in the Lord’s Supper. Those attending on campus are invited to come forward to receive the elements, return to their seats, and partake together when prompted. If you prefer or need to remain seated, we will be happy to serve you where you are.

If you are joining us online, we encourage you to have crackers and juice ready so that we can all receive the elements together. We look forward to worshiping and celebrating together as one church family.

There are moments when your story becomes your testimony, not because everything about your past is easy to explain, but because you have encountered Jesus in a way you can’t keep to yourself. That is where we find Paul in Acts 22. He is standing before a hostile crowd in Jerusalem, surrounded by people who want to silence him, yet he doesn’t begin by defending himself with credentials, arguments, or accusations. He says, in effect, “Let me tell you my story.” Paul knows exactly who he was, what he believed, and what he was doing when Jesus interrupted his life's direction. His testimony reminds us that the gospel is not merely a set of ideas we defend; it is the story of a Savior who meets people where they are and changes where they are going.

And perhaps that is why this passage matters so much to us. We may not have Paul's dramatic Damascus Road experience, but every follower of Jesus has a story of grace.
