🌿❤️ Thank You for Preparing the Way at WMC ❤️🌿
What an incredible day.
We had over 80 volunteers come together to serve, worship, and work—and because of you, camp is one BIG step closer to being ready for summer.
We’re so grateful for groups from Alta Vista High View Church, First Baptist Council Grove, and First Baptist Emporia, along with so many dedicated local volunteers who showed up ready to help. The day began with worship and a message, followed by hours of meaningful work, a shared lunch, and even more time spent serving together.
And what a difference you made.
🌳 Tree clearing and trimming
🪵 Foot bridges and picnic tables repaired and painted
🧺 A new clothesline pole installed
🎨 A mural project in the pool house
🧹 Deep cleaning and organizing across camp
…and so many other projects that have prepared WMC for the season ahead
No job was too small, and every task will make an impact for the 500+ youth and adults who will come through camp this summer.
We also want to extend a special thank you to the Council Grove Area Foundation for their generous grant, which made it possible for us to purchase a new shipping container behind the dining hall. This addition is already helping make camp and events more efficient, safer, and better organized.
And to the volunteers who helped place the container—thank you for turning that opportunity into reality.
Days like this are what camp is all about: community, purpose, and people coming together to make something meaningful happen.
