This past Sunday we officially welcomed and installed Isaac Erickson as our new Senior Pastor! We had a wonderful service and fellowship meal after (with some staying extra late for an impromptu hymn-sing).
A special thanks to those who attended, helped prepare for, served during, and cleaned up after both the service and meal. We trust that, by God's grace, First Baptist will continue to shine the light of the Gospel to the City of Council Bluffs and beyond!
A brief bio of Pastor Isaac:
Pastor Isaac Erickson was called by First Baptist Church to minister as an Associate Pastor and ordained to preach the Gospel in November 2024. After serving in that role for one and a half years, he was officially installed as the church's Senior Pastor in May of 2026.
Isaac has a great love for Christ, His church, and enjoys studying theology to the glory of God. His interests include Particular (or Reformed) Baptist theology, Baptist History, and preaching Christ from the whole Bible.
Pastor Isaac is a graduate of Bethel University (MN) and Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. Isaac and his family are excited to continue worshipping the Lord at FBC.
