SETTLE IT!
Key Thought: I can’t be a Sunday saint and a Monday ain’t!
Scripture: Luke 21:10–14 (KJV)
Jesus warned His disciples that difficult days would come—wars, earthquakes, famines, persecution, and trials. Yet in the middle of all the chaos, He gave one powerful command:
“Settle it therefore in your hearts…” (Luke 21:14)
Before the pressure comes, before the temptation comes, before the trial comes—you’ve got to make up your mind.
You cannot wait until you’re standing in the middle of the storm to decide whether you’re going to live for God. The decision has to be settled now.
That’s why I say:
“I can’t be a Sunday saint and a Monday ain’t!”
Serving God isn’t something we put on for church and take off during the week. A settled heart follows Jesus on Monday morning, Wednesday afternoon, and Saturday night just as much as on Sunday morning.
Paul reminds us in 2 Timothy 1:7:
“For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.”
Fear says, “Give up.”
Faith says, “Stand firm.”
A settled spirit says, “No matter what comes my way, I belong to God.”
The real question isn’t whether trials will come—they will.
The question is:
Can you make it from where you are at right now in your walk with God?
If persecution came tomorrow, would you stand?
If disappointment came next week, would you still praise Him?
If prayers weren’t answered the way you expected, would your faith remain?
Today is the day to settle it.
Settle your mind.
Settle your heart.
Settle your commitment.
Settle your walk with God.
When it’s settled in your heart, circumstances cannot shake what God has established in your spirit.
