Have you ever felt like the devil was trying to bury you alive?

Sunday's message has stayed with a lot of us this week. The image of that donkey at the bottom of the well, shaking off the dirt and stomping on it until he was standing *on top* of the very thing meant to cover him. That picture is hard to forget.

We looked at Romans 9:26, where God says that in the same place where it was said "you are not my people," that's exactly where He shows up and calls them His children. Not somewhere new. Not after they cleaned everything up. In *that* place.

The disciples had to go back to the upper room. The place of betrayal, the place of failure, the place they probably never wanted to see again. That's where God poured out the Holy Spirit and changed everything.

It's the same for us. The marriage that was falling apart. The addiction that had you. The diagnosis that scared you half to death. God doesn't avoid those places. He meets us there. And what the devil intended to bury you with? That's what you end up standing on.

So here's a question to carry into your week: what's something hard you've walked through that you can now look back on and see God's fingerprints all over it?

We also had a very special prayer bench and oak tree dedicated by the Timothy family.
Believing many will sit on this bench, feel His presence, and never be the same again 🙌🏻❤️

Here's something that's been sitting with us since Sunday.

Abraham was 100 years old. He'd already been through the impossible. He had the promise in his arms. And then God asked for more.

Genesis 22 opens with four words that hit hard: "after these things." After the waiting. After the miracles. After everything Abraham thought he'd survived. And here comes the hardest test yet.

Two kinds of people showed up in Sunday's message: campers and climbers. Campers aren't bad people. They've just decided the view from halfway up is good enough. They pitch their tent, gather around the fire, and live off yesterday's stories. God hasn't called us to camp. He's called us to keep climbing.

What gets us is this: before Abraham ever saw the ram, before God provided anything, he looked at his son and said, "God will provide." He called Him Jehovah Jireh at the bottom of the mountain. Not after the miracle. Before it.

That's the kind of faith that keeps climbing when everything says stop.

No matter what you're staring down right now, the best is not behind you. It's in front of you.
