Join us for a public reading and discussion of “What to the Slave is the Fourth of July?”

Amplify POC and The JFK Hyannis Museum are honored to receive a Reading Frederick Douglass Together grant from Mass Humanities, with funding made possible by the Mass Cultural Council.

The reading will take place on Sunday, June 28 at 1 PM in the courtyard of the JFK Hyannis Museum for Reading Frederick Douglass Together, a free public community reading of Frederick Douglass’s landmark 1852 speech, “What to the Slave Is the Fourth of July?”

The event will feature more than 40 volunteer readers representing diverse voices from across Cape Cod, including our own Rev. Dan Smith.

A facilitated discussion will follow inside the museum at 2 PM. Seating for the discussion is limited, and reservations are encouraged. Please RSVP below.

URGENT REQUEST from one of our mission partners. They are in need of formula, diapers, and wipes.

These items can be brought to church tomorrow during our Blood Drive. Doors will be open between 9am-3pm.

We will also still be collecting the following two Sundays.

A step closer to completing the new basement at Cotuit Federated Church

Jamsion Ballou continued work on his Eagle Project by leading a group in painting the floor today.

Many thanks to Troop 52 and CFC volunteers who came together to work on this.

Watch your step. The wet paint should not be walked on until after June 28.
