Another full week at SRCC. First off we want to extend our huge thanks and appreciation to Mark and Sarah Christensen for all their years of serving as our Youth Group leaders. They have decided to take a much needed and deserved break. Thank you both for all you have done for the youth of the Salmon River Canyon.
This week we have a Fiddlers Concert on Tuesday that is open to all and a potluck with some Missionaries who will be sharing about their ministry in India on Sunday.

Teach us to pray!

Teach Us To Pray
It's interesting that the disciples never asked Jesus, “teach us to preach” or “teach us to heal or cast out devils”. But they did say “Teach us to pray” (Luke 11:1). To any and all my friends that might be in the Washington DC area, I will be preaching this Sabbath at the Triadelphia SDA church, on the subject of prayer.
Have a blessed Sabbath and “pray always!” (1 Thessalonians 5:17).

Dear Lord, we thank you for the beauty of Your creation that we stand witness to on a daily basis. We often don't recognize the privilege until it's being taken from us, and even in this crisis, beauty still shines through. Our hearts are breaking at the loss of plant and animal life, and the loss of homes and businesses. Please shelter those who are fighting so desperately to extinguish these flames that are ravishing everything in the path. Keep the pilots safe from updrafts and the ground crews safe from downdrafts. Comfort those who have watched their homes and livestock perish. Bless the farmers who are sacrificing their harvest in efforts to contain the fire's spread. We look to You for provision, safety, and the hope that we have in Christ, and in His name we pray. Amen
