Letter sent to the members of CBC...
Therefore, let us no longer criticize one another. Instead decide never to put a stumbling block or pitfall in your brother’s way (Romans 14:13).
Dear members of Cottonwood Bible Church,
Beginning May 10, we will begin to meet again for our main gathering starting at 10:30am. We will not have our first hour Bible study/kids classes at 9:15am or snack time at 10:00am, but only our main service at 10:30am. We will keep this schedule for the month of May, and then, beginning June 7, we will start everything back up again (including our Wednesday night study).
I quoted Romans 14:13 above because when we come together this Sunday, we need to have attitudes of grace, mercy, gentleness, and consideration for each other. For…
*some members will not feel comfortable to come at all (at least, not yet).
*some members (and visitors) will want to wear a mask when they come.
*some members will want to wear a mask and gloves when they come.
*some members will practice social distancing by not shaking hands or hugging, and/or by sitting a seat (or two) away from others.
*and some members will not care about doing any of the things listed above.
So, in all this, let us exercise grace and gentleness towards each other, pursuing things which make for peace and the building up of one another (Rom. 14:19); let’s not cast judgment on each other.
I also request the following as your pastor:
*Please don’t come if you’re sick, or have been around someone who is sick.
*Please reconsider coming if you’ve recently traveled to Flagstaff and/or (especially) to Phoenix.
*Please, if you’re over 70, carefully consider if you should attend.
In all this, let’s wash our hands, trust our God, and display grace for and consideration of each other to the glory of Jesus.
Grace to you all
