Piney Grove Youth Group "Every good and perfect gift is from above..." James 1:17 Trust in the Lord like a small child trusts and lay everything down at his feet.

"Don't let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity." 1 Timothy 4:12

You can not stop people from forming opinions or making judgements, but you can choose whether or not you will allow it to bother you. When you face adversity among your peers, understand that THIS is your opportunity to change the

world a little at a time. Speak life and truth, conduct yourself as if you're trying to impress Jesus because he is standing right there. Love them and show them grace, even the ones you think might not deserve it because none of us deserve Jesus' grace but its free because he loves us. You can not handle anything on your own, but he can do EVERYTHING. Finally, be pure of heart in all that you do and every decision you make, YOU are the child of a King, live THAT truth.

Jesus said hello and see you in a while to his closest friends during fishing trips. Matthew 4:18-20 says "And Jesus, walking by the sea of Galilee, saw two brethren, Simon called Peter, and Andrew his brother, casting a net into the sea: for they were fishers.

And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.

And they straightway left their nets, and followed him."

Matthew 21: 1-14 says

After this Jesus revealed himself again to the disciples by the Sea of Tiberias, and he revealed himself in this way. Simon Peter, Thomas (called the Twin), Nathanael of Cana in Galilee, the sons of Zebedee, and two others of his disciples were together. Simon Peter said to them, “I am going fishing.” They said to him, “We will go with you.” They went out and got into the boat, but that night they caught nothing.

Just as day was breaking, Jesus stood on the shore; yet the disciples did not know that it was Jesus. Jesus said to them, “Children, do you have any fish?” They answered him, “No.” He said to them, “Cast the net on the right side of the boat, and you will find some.” So they cast it, and now they were not able to haul it in, because of the quantity of fish. That disciple whom Jesus loved therefore said to Peter, “It is the Lord!” When Simon Peter heard that it was the Lord, he put on his outer garment, for he was stripped for work, and threw himself into the sea. The other disciples came in the boat, dragging the net full of fish, for they were not far from the land, but about a hundred yards off.

When they got out on land, they saw a charcoal fire in place, with fish laid out on it, and bread. Jesus said to them, “Bring some of the fish that you have just caught.” So Simon Peter went aboard and hauled the net ashore, full of large fish, 153 of them. And although there were so many, the net was not torn. Jesus said to them, “Come and have breakfast.” Now none of the disciples dared ask him, “Who are you?” They knew it was the Lord. Jesus came and took the bread and gave it to them, and so with the fish. This was now the third time that Jesus was revealed to the disciples after he was raised from the dead.

Our Father calls each of us to be more than fishermen. He calls us to be fishers of men.

That feeling you get when you're pulling in a big one, it's intensified by 7 when you get the opportunity to witness your testimony helping lead someone home.

The Israelites were hungry in the desert. So God fed them with manna from heaven.

Exodus 16:31 tells us that the house of Israel named it manna, and it was like coriander seed, white, and its taste was like wafers with honey.

We got hungry and our Father sent us bread once again. Only this time He sent us the bread of life.

In John 6:51 Jesus says, "I am the living bread that came down from heaven. Whoever eats this bread will live forever. This bread is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.”

Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.

Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.

Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven. Matthew 5:14-16

“Now faith, hope, and love remain — these three things — and the greatest of these is love.” 1 Corinthians 13:13

The Good News: We all must have faith, hope, and love, but love is the greatest gift of all. Where there is love, there is also faith and hope.

Our children and youth had a wonderful time today at the Maphis Farm learning how to make grits and cornmeal. They fed the fish, they learned a thing or two and they had donuts and the best fried cornbread known to man! We really appreciate Mr. Bill and Mrs Brenda letting us bring them by. It was certainly a day to remember 🥰😎

"David said to the Philistine, “You come against me with sword and spear and javelin, but I come against you in the name of the Lord Almighty, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied." 1 Samuel 17:45

This young man faces and conquers his Goliath with the same brave spirit every day, knowing that through God all things are possible and work together for the good of those who serve him.

We are so proud of Mr. Jacob Brown, not just because he is awesome at baseball but because he doesn't let the world set his limits or change his heart. Instead, with kindness and integrity he proves every day that God has the final say.
