What do you do when life doesn’t go according to plan?

God’s providence reminds us that He is never distant from His creation. Through the contrasting stories of Joseph and Edmond Dantès, guest preacher Brandon Hale explored how we can respond when circumstances are beyond our control this past Sunday.

Joseph’s story reminds us to trust God’s sovereignty, practice humility, and find grace even when we can’t see what He is doing.

God is at work—even when we don’t understand the plan.

Lord, we thank You for another beautiful month at Oaks Church and all You’ve done in and through our church family! 🙏

New seasons. New classrooms. New steps of faith. 💛

A new school year brings new opportunities to see God grow and shape our Oaks Kids! Join us as we celebrate these next steps:

📚 August 30: THIS SUNDAY We’ll pray over our fifth graders as they prepare for Student Ministry. Fifth-grade parents are invited to join us!

🎉 September 13: Move Up Sunday! We’ll welcome incoming kindergarteners and third graders into new classrooms and celebrate our sixth graders as they begin attending adult services.

We can’t wait to see how God continues to lead and grow our kids! 🙏

What do you do with the things you wish you could go back and change? Genesis 44 reminds us that our past doesn’t disqualify us from being used by God. Through Judah’s story, we see how God can redeem adversity, grow our trust, and shape us through humble sacrifice. You are not defined by your worst moments—God is still inviting you into His story.

A new school year is here! 📚✏️ As our children, parents, teachers, and homeschool families step into a new season, let’s commit to praying over them.

A heartfelt thank you to the Borner Family for opening their farm to us for such a special morning of baptism, brunch, fellowship, and celebration.

To everyone who took the step of faith—we celebrate your courage, your faith, and your willingness to publicly declare that you are following Jesus. What a joy to witness God’s story unfolding in your lives!

And above all, we thank the Lord for blessing us with a beautiful day, a beautiful setting, and a beautiful reminder of His goodness and faithfulness.

This past Sunday was a beautiful celebration of faith, obedience, and new life in Christ as we gathered together on the Borner farm for baptisms & brunch.

Baptism is more than a moment—it’s a public declaration that we belong to Jesus and are choosing to live our lives as part of God’s story.

We’re so grateful for the stories being written, the lives being transformed, and the faithfulness of a God who continues to draw people to Himself.

What a joy to celebrate what God is doing in and through His church. All glory to Him! ✝️
