Come let us worship and bow down before Jesus just as those who were with Jesus on the day he entered Jerusalem did.

As they put down coats, blankets, palm fronds; as they helped each other; and they lifted one another up.

Let us be like them; filled with a sense of community; caring for each other. What an example they were to others and what an example they are to us even today.

They on their individual journeys still took the time and energy to help each other, to encourage each other and to be encouraged by others.

What a reminder for us of the 2nd commandment to love thy neighbor as thyself!

As we prepare for the triumphal entry of Jesus into Jerusalem it is important for us to also celebrate the relationships those who followed Christ Jesus made with others. Just as each of us make relationships with others we serve within ministry, those we serve, and those who lift us up.

Come this Sunday evening at 6:00 pm either in person or virtually via Zoom or right here on our page as we gather to celebrate not only Jesus’ triumphal entry in Jerusalem but also to celebrate the relationships formed along the journey and into the future; the unknown.

Our doors open at 4:00 pm so feel to come early if you like; enjoy some socializing and fellowship, prayer time, meditation, or help with setting up for Sunday Night Service.

See you there!

This week our scriptures remind us of these truths; We like Ezekiel can do whatever God asks of us because of God’s spirit in us.

We sometimes find ourselves feeling inadequate don’t we; thinking we cannot possibly do something that God has asked us to do?

Yet here is Ezekiel who embraces doing just that. He is encouraged because God’s spirit is within him, he is encouraged because of his faith in God; he is encouraging to others because of the same spirit of God and faith in God.

The same resources and gifts we posses of God’s spirit and faith in God. The question is what do we do with those gifts? Are we like Ezekiel and do what God asks or do we try and find excuses not to use those resources for God?

Our Romans passage reminds us when we allow our brain to control our movements and actions rather than the spirit of God and faith in God; we limit our abilities to be more.

Come this Sunday evening either in person or virtually via Zoom and right here on our page as we gather together encouraging each other to be more like Ezekiel! Encouraged to allow God’s spirit to guide us instead of our own minds.

Our doors open at 4:00 pm and our service begins at 6:00 pm. Come early if you feel so inclined; relax, socialize, meditate, read, pray, help setup for Sunday evening.
We’d love to spend some extra time with you!

See you there!

As we continue this week in our Lenten theme of Be Encouraged, Be Encouraging, Let Your Light Shine; we find ourselves this week in scriptures that encourage us to not test God to put our faith, our trust, our belief in God.

Why? Because history and these scriptures show us God’s promises are rock solid; and even when we bang on about things and question God; God still meets us where we are and walks with us.

So we should save ourselves the stress of questioning God and trust and believe God will indeed get us through. In that is why and how we should be encouraged and encouraging to others.

Come, this Sunday evening at 6:00 pm either in person or virtually right here on our page as we individually look at how our lives might compare to the lives in the scriptures.

Our doors open at 4:00 pm so come early if you like. Pull up a chair and socialize, read, pray, meditate; or engage in helping to set up for Sunday night services.
Our service begins at 6:00 pm.

This week our scriptures speak to us of Abraham, his faith in God; faith based on God’s grace. Our Roman’s passage also speaks of faith.

As we continue our Lenten theme of “Be Encouraged, Be Encouraging – Let your light shine for others” These are truly inspiring passages about God’s grace and the faith we should have in God.

Passages which invite us to be like Abraham allowing our faith in God to guide us and strengthen us as we are Encouraged; and as these same scriptures seek to help us to be encouraging to others just as Abraham was encouraging to the people of his time; and Paul in all of his writings.

Come this Sunday evening either in person or virtually via Zoom or right here on our page as we gather together in praise and worship and we take a look at the scriptures and how they can relate to our daily lives in the current times.

Our doors open at 4:00 pm so come early if you are so inclined; meditate, read, socialize, or help set up for Sunday night services. Our worship service begins at 6:00 pm.

In today’s world we find so many people shut in behind screens on their smart phones, tablets, or computers; afraid to go outside or socialize for fear of being detained, deported, or ridiculed for being themselves; their authentic selves.

People everywhere are being tempted to lock themselves away from society because they don’t feel encouraged, they don’t know who they can turn to for that much needed encouragement. They are not sure where they can go where they will be safe, where they can be their authentic selves finding a community of like minded people who don’t and won’t judge.

Temptations come in all sizes, shapes, and locations. Temptations abound even in the biblical accounts of Adam and Eve, Jesus and Satan, and so many more. But in every situation God remains ever present; watching over, guiding, sending Angels to do God’s work.

As followers of Christ Jesus’ teachings; especially about God’s love; a love of equality, inclusion, and God’s love for God’s diverse people; we find encouragement to be encouraging to others! Providing those safe places, spaces, and people. As followers of Christ Jesus; we must indeed be that safe person, found in a safe place and space.

When we find ourselves tempted to fall into the trap of society not being what God calls us to be a prophet of joy, and compassion; we need but look to the scriptures for our catalyst that spark, that safe place, space, and person for others.

Come this Sunday evening at 6:00 pm either in person or virtually via Zoom and right here on our page as we gather together in community to be encouraged to be encouraging.

Our doors open at 4:00 pm so come early if you like for a time of meditation, socializing, prayer, or helping to set up for Sunday evening service. A few minutes before 6:00 pm we will gather for a time of recorded music and event updates.

As we begin our journey toward Ash Wednesday and Lent; let us especially in these times be reminded that because of Christ Jesus and his teachings about God’s love; we can and should be encouraged and as such we should also be encouraging to others.

Letting our light of trust, faith, and happiness in all God has done, is doing, and will do for us. Let us reflect God’s equal, diverse, and all inclusive love toward one another.

Let the scriptures guide each of us to be that special light, that kind word, that simple touch to help people live their authentic lives; to know they are important to others in this world and we want to share the bounty of God’s love with them.

Come this Sunday evening at 6:00 pm either in person or virtually via ZOOM and right here on our FACEBOOK page as we gather together for a time for praise and worship, prayer, and a look at the scriptures as our guide to our being encouraged, being encouraging, and to lighting the path for others as we too are transformed.

Our doors open at 4:00 pm so come early if you like for a time of socializing, fellowship, prayer, meditating, or help to set up for Sunday evening service if you are so inclined. Prior to service at 6:00 pm we’ll have a short time of event announcements and updates.

Given the state the world appears to be in, and especially right here in what is supposed to be the land of the free and the brave with liberty and justice for all; we find ourselves often emotionally struggling to be encouraged, to be encouraging, and to let our light shine as the reflection of Christ’s light in the world.

Yet, scriptures for this Sunday speak exactly to that! Regardless of your activities for each day; scriptures, God’s love, and Jesus’ teaching can be encouraging to us to do what is right; to reach out to those in need; to share something amazing with others.

It isn’t always easy; but putting our trust and our faith in God verses in some human can well be the catalyst we each need.

In doing so we find ourselves able to walk a bit lighter; share a bit more with others; be that light, that reflection of God’s love in every situation.

This Sunday we’ll be gathering at 3:00 pm for a time of fun, food, fellowship, and watching the big game. We’d love to share the afternoon and evening with you. It is an opportunity to be encouraged, to be encouraging, and letting our light shine.

This isn’t something that should occur only during a worship service; but in all things and at all times of everything we do. Why not come on out bring a little something to share if you are so inclined but not a requirement. Enjoy the blessing of fellowship and fun together.

See you there!

This week’s scriptures come to us from Micah 6 and Matthew 5 and they speak of doing justice for others, showing kindness and our individual and collective walks and works with God as a humble journey. In doing all of this; may those who have been marginalized feel the blessing of God; may each be blessed to overflowing.

Sounds like the foundational ingredients for being a sanctuary for others; caring for them, lifting them up; helping to provide and guide to the resources needed.

Sometimes, probably more times than not; it is a simple act we don’t even think has any significance. But you never know how significant even a smile can be; or holding the door for someone.

Come this Sunday evening at 6:00 pm either in person or virtually via Zoom and right here on our page as we gather together to soak in the scriptures; how they led the people during the time they were written and how they can and should lead us today and into the future.

Our doors open at 4:00 pm; so feel free to come early; take time to meditate, to pray, to read, to socialize; or even to roll up your sleeves as we set up for the evening service.

A few minutes before service we’ll gather for a time of recorded music and announcements.

Our scriptures this week speak of being united together in thought word and deed; seeking to do for the common good and not for individual accolades or trying to best others. They also show the power of being united as followers of Christ Jesus.

Both of these scriptures taken as they were written and for those of the day they were written for is indeed a lesson in history.

We know history most often repeats itself; and so these scriptures carry the same messages for us today.

Come as your authentic self either in person or virtually via Zoom and right here on our page this Sunday evening at 6:00 pm as we look at these scriptures in the context of the lives of those during the time they were written and for us today in reference to the chaos we see around us; the needs of those we see around us; and the call as followers of Christ Jesus to follow Christ and to follow, embrace, and live every day the teachings of Jesus.

Our doors open at 4:00 pm so come early if you like; come for a time of socializing, meditating, praying, reading, or in service as we come together to prepare for Sunday night service.

We gather a few minutes before 6:00 pm for a short time of recorded music and event updates.
