Rev. Wasson will be retiring from Cosby Zion UMC, with his final Sunday, June 28, 2026.

The church would like to thank Bill for his service over the past 5 years.

Bill, you have witnessed a lot with us in five years. . . the 100th Anniversary of our church building, Cosby Watermelon Festivals , Cake Walks, Church in the Park, Wiener Roasts, Potlucks , Lent Classes, Christmas Eve Services, celebrating the births of children/grand children and mourning the loss of loved ones.

We pray that you will continue to devote yourself to the glory of God while welcoming all as you do.

 We trust that God will continue to work through you spreading his word, teaching others God‘s ways and showing them that God‘s grace is always there for all who seek it.

United Methodist and Canadian denominations draw closer: The United Methodist Church and The United Church of Canada have formed an interim covenant with the goal of full communion. Driving the move, in part, is increased migration of United Methodists to Canada.

Starting July 5, our worship time will begin at 9:00 A.M. followed by Sunday School at 10:15 A.M. Please join us in welcoming our new pastor, Leanna Nauman, on her first Sunday with us!

Due to Annual Conference this weekend, we will not have Sunday School or Church service at Cosby Zion. We will have visitation Sunday, which means you can pick another church of your choice to attend.
