Healing Hearts Ministries of Oregon's mission is "Healing hurts and building hope by sharing Christ's love with people in need." In a desire to serve more people in our community and support the clergy, Healing Hearts Ministries of Oregon is reaching out to bring relevant teaching, growth, and healing to hurting people. ering workshops covering issues such as divorce, grief, boundary setting, parenting, and dating. Healing Hearts Ministries of Oregon offers other services as well, such as retreats, event speaking, pulpit supply, and leadership training for small groups. Pastor Karen Bull is the director of Healing Hearts Ministries of Oregon. Karen is an ordained pastor specializing in Compassionate Ministries. In addition to serving for 20 years on the pastoral team at the Corvallis Church of the Nazarene, God has opened doors for her in two major areas: as a consultant to equip other churches in implementing various Compassionate Ministries, and as a leader of workshops designed to help individuals seeking healing in their life situations. Karen's heart to serve comes from her own personal life experiences. Following her divorce in 1977, Karen began searching to fill the void in her life. Through her search she came to know Jesus in 1980. Karen, too, understands grief. She lost her youngest brother in a car accident when he was 19 years old and her nephew when he was 16. She cared for her sister-in-law who battled cancer before going home to be with the Lord. Karen understands pain and grief, up close and personal. God has blessed her ministry, and Karen has had the privilege of walking with many individuals through times of crisis. The passion of her heart is to love others in tangible ways so that they may come to know Jesus personally; to provide ministries where the church and unchurched will come for healing, growth, and hope; and to train and equip others that they may overcome their fears and love others for Christ.
