Regarding the High School Ministry -
In order to create opportunities to stay connected in this time of pause, here are 3 ways for your student to stay engaged.

1. Weekly Devotional - This will be a 5 minute video of Adam sharing a passage and his thoughts, followed by a handful of questions for your student to think through.

2. Sunday "Fill in the Blank" - These will be tailored to Mike's sermon, so by watching the sermon online your student can find the answers to each blank. For each week your student completes all of the blanks, he/she will earn a point. Whenever this time of pause ends, students will be rewarded for the amount of points they've earned.

3. Q & A - Just because school has been canceled doesn't mean we can't still learn. Each week, Adam will create a 5 minute video answering some of the hard questions your students submitted to the youth group - questions like, "What does the Bible say about women in ministry?" or "What's the difference between Christianity and Mormonism?" The answers to these questions will be biblically based, and your student is invited to watch the video and continue to think of additional questions Adam can answer for the group. Questions can be emailed to [email protected].

Hi Parents! Here's what is coming up in the High School Ministry!

A Quick Note to Parents:
Recently, cell phones have become a problem during the HS youth group time; not only do they distract your student, but they also distract the students sitting around them. If possible, I want to ask you to have your student leave his/her phone at home, or at least not take it with them into our youth group time.

COMING UP:
1. Christmas Party, December 15th, 6:30-8:30PM @ Suburban B4
We will be having a white elephant gift exchange so please be sure your student brings a gift to participate with (or let me know if that is not an option for you. Gifts should be no more than $10).

2. Mid-Week Youth Group, every Thursday, 6:30-8PM @ Suburban B4
We want to invite your student to explore his/her faith's next steps by joining us for THRiVE - our mid-week youth group. Each week, we gather together, enjoy a snack and game, ask a handful of questions on a biblical topic, and then discuss those questions as a small group. We also use the last Thursday of each month to have an activity night! We hope your student will join us!

3. Retreat Information
Unfortunately, due to circumstances outside of my control, a retreat that had been planned for this month was unable to happen. With that being said, I am currently looking into a retreat to take place in the Spring (and then another in July), and I wanted to give you this heads up.
