Each concert will end with an invitation to mingle, enjoy cookies and take part in the Light the World Giving Campaign. The giving campaign in Corvallis gives participants the opportunity to learn about local and global non profit charities. Featured charities will have posters on display, to help educate, and also QR codes on the posters for those that wish to make a donation directly to these organizations.

Join us this weekend, at the giving campaigns! -Held during the service project open house and after each music event! Learn about organizations actively engaged in bringing light to the world!

"There were so many things to do last year, but getting the toy cars ready for kids all over the world was my favorite part of Light The World." -Dayna. age 9

The Service Project Open House has opportunities for every age to do hands on service that make a difference at a local and global level. Join us, Saturday, December 7th, 1pm-3pm as we take on 6 different projects that will directly benefit our community and communities worldwide.

This year, 500 wooden toy cars will need to be sanded and oiled before they are packaged and sent to bring joy to children throughout the world. Assembled by https://tinytimstoys.org/ we will have the opportunity to finish these little cars!

Helping hands are needed to complete these 500 cars, as well as 5 other service projects! Please join us. Working together to make a difference feels like a wonderful way to bring light to others during this holiday season.

Saturday, December 7, 1pm-3pm

Opportunities to serve include:
*Bring a food drive item collected on behalf of: Benton County Food Share
*Help sand and oil 500 of Tiny Tim's Cars- a toy that will be prepared for worldwide distribution
*Help pack 500 School District Weekend Food Packs shared with Philomath Outreach Center
*Help assemble 100 Holiday Cheer Stocking Stuffer Packs that will help parents in our community, working with the Philomath Holiday Cheer Program, provide Christmas for their Children
*Help 30 Homebound Seniors have a prepared holiday Gift Basket
*Create holiday cards for friends in our community

Food Drive Collection- Non perishable food items are being collected at ALL Light The World Corvallis events. The service project open house and the community concerts are great times to bring a food donation that will be delivered to Benton County Food Share. There are so many ways to serve! Please share a canned food item that will directly help serve our community!

This year at Saturday’s Service Open House, we are putting together almost 700 service kits! We need help collecting items for these kits. Please look over what is needed, and consider making a donation of needed items to a collection box located in the church building foyers, or click into our amazon registry, and consider making a donation directly from our "LTW kit need list." The amazon list is a convenient way to help donate the items needed for kit assembly. Amazon registry items will be sent directly to the LTW service team. All items collected through registry and foyer boxes will be sorted and ready for kit assembly on Saturday, December 7th!

So many ways to serve!

At the SERVICE OPEN HOUSE, we will work together to create:

1. 500 WEEKEND FOOD PACKS to benefit school children who need help with food outside of
school. Items include shelf stable food items like oatmeal packets, cup-o-noodles, tuna
packets, crackers, applesauce, cereal, shelf stable milk, ravioli, etc.
2. 140 CHRISTMAS FILLER PACKS for families who qualify through Philomath Community Services. Items
include small gifts like winter hat, card games, coloring books, balls, fidget toy, hair clips, etc
3. 30 CHRISTMAS SENIOR BASKETS for homebound seniors through Gleaners programs. Items include lap
blanket, mug, hot chocolate, grippy socks, Sudoku puzzle book, etc

What a wonderful way to welcome the holiday season!

The 2024, Light The World Corvallis, schedule is here! Please share this schedule with friends and family. There is something for everyone: music, service, nativity puppet shows, and giving for all ages!

Over 200 people participated in the Service Open House working on 5 different projects.
We were able to assemble 100 sensory kits including pillowcases, therapy toys, journals, clay, body wash, and more benefitting Corvallis Children's Farm Home.
Food donations were collected and given to South Corvallis Food Bank.
Over 500 toy cars were sanded and oiled to be given all over the world with an additional 100 staying locally.
Care kits including first aid items, dental care, chapstick, socks, and more totaled over 500 kits and were given to Unity Shelter, Room at the Inn, the Men's Cold Weather Shelter, Corvallis Daytime Drop-in Center, and Jackson Street Youth Services.
And handmade holiday cards were lovingly created and included with most of the kits.
We can't express enough our gratitude at the generosity in both donations and time to make this portion of our event such a memorable addition.
