Rev. James Kane went home to the loving arms of Jesus early this morning after a brief battle with brain cancer. A Celebration of Life will be held at 1pm this Saturday, April 13, at Delphi Falls United Church, 2190 Oran Delphi Rd, Manlius, NY 13104. A coffee and sweets reception will follow.

All who have been touched by the ministry of Living Word Free Methodist Church are welcome to our final service this Sunday at 10:30 AM. This is the liturgy we will be using, and if you are unable to make it, but would like to pray, and worship along with us from afar you are welcome to use this as your guide. It has been helpful for me as I wrote it to process the grief in prayer and be reminded of Gods faithfulness.

This Sunday, August 27, will be the final worship service at Living Word Free Methodist Church.

Anyone who has been a part of this church community is invited to attend our final service for a special liturgy of closing. We will also post the liturgy here so that you can pray and sing through it on your own if you are unable to attend.

God remains with us and His love is never failing!

We are hosting a support group for parents of kids TONIGHT. Walk in anytime from 6:30-7:30pm. We’ll have food. Kids are welcome. Come find the community you need.

“Jesus Hugs his Mother (After Cimabue)”

This Icon is a study for an upcoming Icon based on Cimabue's "The Assumption of Mary" a fresco painted between 1272 and 1280 on the apse in the upper Church of San Francesco in Assisi, the Mother Church of the Franciscan Order.

The original fresco had faded badly over time but was completely destroyed by an Earthquake in 1997. It was such a lovely unique image. Mary rests her head on Christ’s shoulder while Jesus hugs her tenderly.
