Praise Jesus for baptism

Baptism holds a central and sacred place in the plan of salvation. It’s not merely symbolic — it is essential, powerful, and deeply spiritual. The UPCI follows the apostolic pattern of baptism as seen in the Book of Acts, specifically:

Baptism in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins (Acts 2:38).

🔥 A Praise of Thanks:

Thank You, Jesus, for the revelation of Your mighty name — the name above every name, the name by which we are saved, washed, and made new. Thank You for the power of baptism in Your name, where sin is remitted, chains are broken, and we rise to walk in newness of life.

“Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.” — Acts 2:38

✝️ Why We Praise:

Jesus’ name is invoked in baptism, because there is no other name under heaven given among men whereby we must be saved (Acts 4:12).

Baptism is by full immersion, symbolizing burial with Christ and resurrection into a new life.

It is a step of obedience and a vital part of the new birth experience (John 3:5).

🙏 A Heartfelt Declaration:

Praise Jesus, who washes away our sins in His precious name. Praise Him for the truth of the oneness of God — that Jesus is the fullness of the Godhead bodily — and that through baptism, we are buried with Him and raised in His power.

To God be the glory for every soul baptized in the name of Jesus! The waters testify, the Spirit confirms, and heaven rejoices.

"And now why tarriest thou? arise, and be baptized, and wash away thy sins, calling on the name of the Lord." — Acts 22:16

Think about it! The world population since Adam & Eve is estimated to be 9 billion-11 billion. Each person has a name.
HOWEVER, there is only ONE name that stands out.
Only One name that's truly unique. Only One name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved. (Acts 4:12)
Only ONE name that declares every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess. (Romans 14:11)
Only One name that terrifies Satan. Only One name that is the I Am that I Am. (Exodus 3:14)
Only One name that absolutely rocks my world!!! Only One name that saved me by His grace. Only One name that chose to love ME out of BILLIONS of people. Only One name that is closer than a friend. Only One name who spoke the universes into existence. Only One name who was sinless, left heaven, clothed himself in flesh, and became sin so he could be humiliated, beaten, and hung on a cross for me.
Only One name who by hanging on a cross, gave his blood to pay for my sins.
Only One name who's got me covered no matter what!!

James the 4th chapter, tells us that we fight and war, yet we have not, because we ask not. We ask and receive not, because we ask amiss.
All too often we pray in "generalities". We pray such things as "God you know the need" or "Touch them Lord", or, "Have your way Lord". These types of prayers don't yield results.
When we pray, we need to be specific. We must ask God specifically for what we want with the expectation he will answer.
