WHAT YA THINKING?

This mornings reading comes from the book of Ezekiel.

Ezekiel 38:10 Thus saith the Lord GOD; It shall also come to pass, that at the same time shall things come into thy mind, and thou shalt think an evil thought:

"AND THOU SHALT THINK AN EVIL THOUGHT:"

The context is understood, for Gog will lust after the conquest of Israel. This assault on Israel will result in God's protection of Israel. A lesson learned still. Let us bring into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ.

BEFORE GOD CAN DO A WORK!

This mornings reading comes from the book of Jeremiah chapters 11-18.

Jeremiah 18:3 Then I went down to the potter's house, and, behold, he wrought a work on the wheels.

"HE WROUGHT A WORK ON THE WHEELS."

The on going complaint from Christians is that God is not working in their life. Yet, here we see the symbolism of the potter working the clay into something beautiful. To often we ignore the beginning of this verse. Then I went down to the potters house. If we want God to work in our lives then we must seek His face and enter into His house, meaning His presence.

WHO DO YOU WORSHIP?

This mornings reading comes from the book of Jeremiah chapters 1-10.

Jeremiah 2:31 O generation, see ye the word of the LORD. Have I been a wilderness unto Israel? a land of darkness? wherefore say my people, We are lords; we will come no more unto thee?

"WHEREFORE SAY MY PEOPLE, WE ARE LORDS;"

O generation, see ye the word of the Lord. The problem with the generation of Jeremiah is no different than the generation of today. The fool sayeth in his own heart, there is no God. Yet, they think so highly of their own selves. They declare that they are their own God. Calling one Lord is an element of worship. Truly we live in a day of self worship.

GIVE ME SOME SPACE!

This mornings reading comes from the book of Isaiah chapters 48-66.

Isaiah 49:20 The children which thou shalt have, after thou hast lost the other, shall say again in thine ears, The place is too strait for me: give place to me that I may dwell.

"THE PLACE IS TO STRAIGHT FOR ME:"

Let the next generation do better than the previous. Lord expand my boundaries, if not for me for the children who would come behind me. Just as Jabez prayed for God to expand his coast let us also pray and not be satisfied with small portions.

REMEMBER ME!

Isaiah 43:26 Put me in remembrance: let us plead together: declare thou, that thou mayest be justified.

"PUT ME IN REMEMBERANCE:"

Remember me oh Lord. I believe but help thou my unbelief. In my time of need Lord remember me.

"EVERYONE DIES THE SAME WAY!"

Ecclesiastes 2:16 For there is no remembrance of the wise more than of the fool for ever; seeing that which now is in the days to come shall all be forgotten. And how dieth the wise man? as the fool.

"AND HOW DIETH THE WISE MAN? AS THE FOOL."

Both wise and foolish, rich and poor...all have something in common. They all die. In that death what was gained in this life is for nothing. Though riches are nice to have and a welcomed blessing, they are vanity and good for nothing in death. All that matters when we die is that we have put our faith and trust in Christ.

CONTENTIOUS WOMAN!

This mornings reading comes from the book of Proverbs chapters 21-31.

Proverbs 21:9 It is better to dwell in a corner of the housetop, than with a brawling woman in a wide house.

"IT IS BETTER TO DWELL IN A CORNER OF THE HOUSETOP,"

In middle eastern society the rooftop was used for entertainment and overflow for travelling guest. The roof top was flat and open to the elements of heat wind and rain. It is better for the husband to spend time alone on the rooftop, outside of the comforts of home, so to ease such contention then to dwell inside with such a woman adding fuel to her anger.

MAKING A WISE CHOICE!

This mornings reading comes from the book of Proverbs chapters 11-20.

Proverbs 13:13 Whoso despiseth the word shall be destroyed: but he that feareth the commandment shall be rewarded.

Proverbs being a book of wisdom, gives us a good advice in regard to adhering to such wisdom. The individual who chooses not to adhere to the Word of God chooses to be destroyed. What man or woman would ask to be given up for destruction?

DARK SAYINGS!

This mornings reading comes from the book of Proverbs chapters 1-10.

Proverbs 1:6 To understand a proverb, and the interpretation; the words of the wise, and their dark sayings.

"AND THEIR DARK SAYINGS.

Or perhaps better said... obscure sayings. Obscure not for the purpose of hiding or keeping such wisdom from us but rather to encourage us to study in that we are drawn closer to Him. We are commanded to study to show ourselves approved unto God.

THANKFUL!

This mornings reading comes from the book of Psalms chapters 91-100.

Psalm 92:1-2 It is a good thing to give thanks unto the Lord, and to sing praises unto thy name, O Most High:
2 To shew forth thy lovingkindness in the morning, and thy faithfulness every night,

"TO SHEW FORTH THY LOVING KINDNESS..."

Thankful for another day of life in the morning and thankful for His faithfulness through our the day in the evening. Morning, noon and night, our God is truly worthy of praise.

YOUR DAYS ARE NUMBERED!

This mornings reading comes from the book of Psalms chapters 81-90.

Psalms 90:12 So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.

"SO TEACH US TO NUMBER OUR DAYS,"

Life is but a v***r, here today and gone tomorrow. Though we think our time is lengthy yet in God's eyes a thousand years is but one day in the expanse of time. We have but a short time to fulfill his glory and will. Let us make the most of it.

EVIL ANGELS!

This mornings reading comes from the book of Psalms chapters 71-80.

Psalms 78:49 He cast upon them the fierceness of his anger, wrath, and indignation, and trouble, by sending evil angels among them.

"BY SENDING EVIL ANGELS AMONG THEM."

A reference to the children of Israel during their years of slavery in Egypt. Just as the angels of Heaven are sent to earth with judgement during the tribulation so we're these angelic beings summoned to pass judgement on the Egyptians. Such angelic beings were also sent to S***m. Be careful leat ye entertain angels unawares for they could be messengers of evil!
