Today, we celebrate the life of our dear brother, Duane Nutt.

Duane loved Jesus deeply and faithfully served His church: as a teacher, an Elder, and a friend to so many. He was a joy to be around, and his life reflected an incredible love for Christ, His bride, and his family.

We thank God for the life and faithfulness of Duane and for the testimony he leaves behind. We grieve with his family, but we do not grieve as those who have no hope. Duane is with his Savior, whom he loved and faithfully served.

“Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of his saints.” — Psalm 116:15

🎯 **POV: You thought church paintball was going to be peaceful.**

3 hours. 13 players. A whole lot of paint. And absolutely no mercy. 😂

**Adults are still 2–0. Just saying.**

🎯 **ADULTS & STUDENTS: PAINTBALL SHOWDOWN!**

9 students + 4 adults + 3 hours of paintball = one seriously fun afternoon!

We started with Whataburger, headed to the field, and settled the important question: **Who runs the church paintball battlefield?**

The adults may or may not have pulled off **two victories against the students**. We’re not saying it was skill… but we’re also not saying it wasn’t. 😎

There were ambushes, close calls, plenty of paint, and at least one epic moment where someone hit the ground and **kept shooting like they were in The Matrix.** 😂

After 3 hours of battle, we wrapped up with some BBQ and good conversation on the way home.

More than anything, it was a great afternoon of students and adults hanging out, laughing, competing, and building relationships outside the walls of the church.

**Students, the adults are currently 2–0. Just putting that out there. 👀

This picture marks the beginning of something beautiful.

Over the next 30 weeks, these four men are committing themselves to one another for the purpose of becoming more like Christ. They'll spend time in God's Word, memorize Scripture, pray, confess sin, encourage one another, ask hard questions, and hold one another accountable—not to earn God's favor, but because they want to grow in Christlikeness.

Following Jesus was never meant to be a solo journey. God uses His Word, His Spirit, and His people to shape us into the men and women He has called us to be. That's what this is about.

Our prayer is that, months from now, these men will love Christ more deeply, treasure His Word more fully, love their families more faithfully, serve the church more joyfully, and be better equipped to make disciples who make disciples.

This is just the first meeting, but I have a feeling we're watching the beginning of something that will bear fruit for years to come.

Thank you to the Westbrook family for opening your home to our BBC family this Sunday!

One of the sweetest gifts God gives His church is fellowship. Sharing a meal, telling stories, laughing together, praying together, and simply enjoying one another reminds us that church is more than something we attend—it's a family to which we belong.

We're grateful for the hospitality of the Westbrooks and for everyone who came. Days like these strengthen the bonds that make our church a joy to be part of.
