Tomorrow, the members of Believers Bible Church will have the opportunity to affirm two men for deacon service: Larry DeCastro and Marc Ridout.
Our congregation nominated these men, and over the past months we have prayerfully pursued them, spent time together in God's Word, invested in leadership development, sharpened our theology, and explored the beauty and joy of serving Christ's church as a deacon.
In accordance with Scripture, these men were also tested and examined. We are grateful to report that they demonstrated the character, convictions, and servant-heartedness that the office requires.
If you'd like to learn more about our deacon qualification and testing process, we'd love to visit with you. We believe that biblical leadership matters because healthy churches are strengthened by faithful, godly servants.
Leadership is one of God's gifts to His people. As we prepare to vote, we do so with gratitude, humility, and confidence that Christ continues to care for His church.
If affirmed by the congregation, we look forward to celebrating God's faithful provision of leaders during our service on June 21.
