Acts 12:1–11
James became the first of the Apostles to be martyred. Peter, however, had a different path ahead of him. King Herod Agrippa had Peter arrested and imprisoned, likely intending to put him on trial and possibly execute him as well. Humanly speaking, Peter's situation looked hopeless.

He was chained between two soldiers, guarded by multiple squads of soldiers, surrounded by guard posts, and locked behind an iron gate leading into the city.
Yet despite all of this, Peter slept peacefully.
Why? Because Peter knew who his God was.

The Bible tells us that God sent an angel who woke Peter, released his chains, led him past the guards, and brought him safely out of the prison. What seemed impossible to everyone else was no challenge for God.

Acts 12 reminds us that our peace is not found in our circumstances but in the One who is in control of them.
Like Peter, can we rest in God's presence even when life feels uncertain? Regardless of the outcome, do we trust that Jesus is still Lord and Savior?

• Repent before Him.
“And forgive us our debts, as we also have forgiven our debtors.” — Matthew 6:12

• Ask of Him.
“In everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.” — Philippians 4:6

• Yield to Him.
“Your kingdom come, Your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.” — Matthew 6:10

Acts 11:26
“The disciples were first called Christians in Antioch.”
What’s interesting is that the word “Christian” was never originally meant to simply describe a church attendee or someone who claimed a belief system. The name literally meant “belonging to Christ” or “little Christ.” or in latin - "Of the party of Jesus"

These believers lived so differently, spoke so boldly about Jesus, and reflected Him so clearly that people began identifying them with Christ Himself. Before they were called Christians, they were first called disciples, people willing to learn, follow, and be transformed by Jesus.

Today, many people claim the title “Christian,” but the real question is: Does my life actually reflect Christ? It doesn't have to look perfect, but is there evidence that I belong to Him?

Acts 11 reminds us that Christianity was never meant to be just a label, it was meant to be a transformed life pointing others toward Jesus.

Acts 2:1–13 is packed with so many powerful moments, but one thing that stands out is the trust and patience of the disciples while waiting on the Lord’s promise.

Jesus had already given them a mission: take the Gospel to the nations. But before they went, He told them to wait. Imagine if the disciples had rushed ahead in their own strength, trying to accomplish such an important mission without the power and guidance of God.

Instead, they remained faithful in the waiting: praying, gathered together and trusting His promise. Then came Pentecost and the Holy Spirit filled them, and suddenly people from many different nations heard the Gospel proclaimed in their own languages.

What seemed impossible in human strength became possible through the Spirit of God. Acts 2 reminds us that God never intended for us to carry out His calling alone. Sometimes the hardest part of faith is waiting, but God’s timing and power are always greater than our own strength.

Acts 9 is commonly taught around Saul of Tarsus and his powerful encounter and transformation with Jesus. And while Saul’s story is incredible, there’s another individual in this chapter who is often overlooked.

This man wasn’t known as an apostle, a deacon, or a public teacher. The Bible simply calls him a disciple, someone willing to be taught and used by Christ. His name was Ananias.
Ananias was asked by God to do something difficult: go to a specific house and find Saul, the very same man known for persecuting Christians, and go lay hands on him.

At first, Ananias hesitated. He knew Saul’s reputation. He knew the risk. But God responded: “Go, for he is a chosen instrument of Mine to carry My name before the Gentiles, kings, and the children of Israel. For I will show him how much he must suffer for My name.” (Acts 9:15–16) And Ananias obeyed.

Acts 9 isn’t just the story of one man being transformed, it’s the story of two men submitting to God: Saul, who was humbled and changed and Ananias who trusted and obeyed even when it was uncomfortable.

The question today is simple: Have you truly submitted to God?
What is He asking you to do, even if it feels uncertain or difficult?
Because sometimes, being used by God doesn’t start with boldness…It starts with simple obedience.
