They’re off to Camp! 4 of our HS boys will have the chance to disconnect from everything and enjoy time with friends they made from previous years of camp and reconnect where it matters. They really create lifelong bonds and friendships and they couldn’t get out of the van quick enough to check in and the camp staff was anxiously waiting for them. Please keep our boys in your prayers as they enjoy a week of nature, fellowship and blessings at Slumber Falls Camp.

Last night’s Last Supper event was absolutely amazing! Thank you to all the adult leaders who helped prepare the meal and the table settings!

It is events like these that provide a fun and safe environment for our youth to gather and experience fellowship over a meal with a side of many laughs and smiles. We ate and took turns making up our own version of the last super that included food fights, spa treatments and rap battles amongst the disciples but ended with the kids opening their bibles to read the real version and discuss why this event was so important.

Bible Bingo in Sunday school today! It’s amazing to hear the answers of every character called out. It’s a great way to find out they’re learning through games and activities that bring them closer together as a group. Thank you Ms. Julie for your love and help with these little angels.

Today’s youth group lesson was a very important life lesson for your youth. There will be days when Life feels hard and unbearable but God is always with us. We read about all of Paul’s trials and days that any of us would have easily given up but he says, “We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed.”

With Christ we are not ever destroyed, in despair, abandoned or destroyed... why?
Because we hold in these breakable jars a treasure. A treasure that will not be destroyed.

The treasure of Christ living in us gives us life.

Every crack has a story, a testimony.. and the light inside of us shines through the holes and pieces we might have lost in our own life’s journey.

Watching the kids help each other put their jars back together was a great example of how the church and friends can help pick us up when we’re down. Watching our youth leader Daisy help Angel put her jar back together was a beautiful picture of how us as youth leaders take on a role to help however we can teaching, mentoring and ultimately providing guidance day in and day out spiritually, emotionally 24/7. It’s important that we stress to our kids that we’re here for them.

May the world see our cracks and may the light of Christ in us shine bright through whatever life has given us. May every hole in our jar give us the strength to share our experiences and share how God ultimately shined through. 🙏❤️

Todays fellowship Activity was painting pumpkins and watching not so scary movies. Next week is our Grace Fall Fest & Trunk or Treat and the kids have a pretty cool booth in mind! Happy Sunday!! Our little angels are learning about Jonah and the whale this morning. 🏃🏾‍♂️🐳

We had a special visitor with us making sure to keep everyone in line! We’re glad officer Augie came all equipped to live out his dream as our class officer. 👮🏽‍♀️

Our Graceful kids Sunday kids class is working on 150 blessing bags to be distributed throughout the community where love is needed. No matter your age, God’s spirit can shine and our little angels are learning that not everyone has a chance to brush their teeth or comb their hair. May the blessing bags be a valuable lesson for the kids and an incredible blesssing to those who receive them!

So proud of our youth for answering the call to serve this morning. Even at their age, they have the ability to show love and compassion where it’s needed the most. May their smiles radiate God’s unconditional love to everyone who sees them. In our eyes, EVERYONE is a child of God. EVERYONE is our brother and sister in Christ and we will always do what we can to lift each other up. ❤️
