You remember when they told Jesus that the friend He loved was sick?
"So, when He heard that Lazarus was ill, He stayed two days longer in the place where He was." — John 11:6
- Where He was, they had just tried to stone Him. Yet Jesus stayed because He loved them.
- The disciples were calculating the risk (Thomas even said, "Let us also go, that we may die with Him"), but Christ was calculating the glory.
When He finally arrived, He looked past the impossibility of Lazarus having been dead for four days and prayed, "Father, I thank You that You have heard Me. I knew that You always hear Me."
Worship is trusting God's purpose when His timing makes no sense.
Sometimes God delays not because He is absent, but because He is preparing to reveal His glory in a greater way than we can imagine. 🕊
