A Special Invitation from St. John’s UMC United Women in Faith Please Join Us for the 2023 Program “A Call to Prayer and Self Denial” Saturday, June 3, 2023 10:30 a.m. - 12 Noon St. John’s UMC, Community Life Building, 5300 S. Alameda, Corpus Christi, TX 78412 Theme: “Because We Believe...that racism is a rejection of the teaching of Jesus Christ.”

One of the most treasured annual observances for United Women in Faith (formerly United Methodist Women) is titled “A Call to Prayer and Self Denial.” This year’s program topic is Racial Justice. This one-hour program will give women of faith an opportunity to focus on racial justice and have candid discussions on how we as individuals or units can address the issue.
The basic truth of our Christian faith is “We are all beloved children of God.” * Light refreshments will be available. *

A special offering, taken during the program by each church represented, will be sent to the Rio Texas Conference as part of a gift to missions.

The Commission on the General Conference announced today that the 2020 General Conference cannot be held in 2022 due to COVID-related and governmental policies/constraints.
