Ministry for incarcerated women, their families, and other women in need. Founded by Hannah Overton, who spent 7 years in prison for a crime she didn't commit.

Syndeo Ministries is a non-profit organization focused on helping women who are incarcerated and transitioning out of prison. Too often women who are convicted of crimes are forgotten by everyone, including their own family. We are compelled to remember and be a demonstration of Christ’s love. Without a support system, these women often feel hopeless. Our goal is to change that dynamic so they can

flourish! We feel called to achieve this goal by; “Remembering those in prison as if we were bound to them.” (Hebrews 13:3) The term Syndeo is a Greek word meaning bound with them. This word has two meanings:
bound as one prisoner is to another
bound, connected in heart, as all should be!

Yesterday, we unloaded two pallets of products for our next outreach. The heat was so intense that at times we felt like we might pass out.

But for thousands of women in Texas prisons, this isn’t just one difficult afternoon—it’s their daily reality.

This summer, we’re working to provide cooling towels and other much-needed items to help bring relief during the extreme Texas heat. Every gift, no matter the size, helps us reach more women with practical care and the reminder that they are not forgotten.

Recently , after 10 years, I walked back into the Murray Unit — the place where I spent 7 years wrongfully convicted.
God has a way of redeeming even the places of deepest pain.
We gathered to worship in the very chapel where I once sat desperate, broken, and praying for God to see me, hear me, and carry me through. The first song began: “All my life You have been faithful…” and I immediately broke into tears. Because He truly has. Through every unanswered question, every lonely night, every impossible circumstance — He was faithful.
Then the next day, we were blessed to visit the Carol Young Medical Facility and bring hygiene products to the women there. Watching grown women cry tears of gratitude over something as simple as a travel-size bar of soap was humbling and heartbreaking. It was such a reminder that small acts of love matter deeply.
These few days have stirred so many emotions, but more than anything, I’m overwhelmed by God’s goodness. The same walls that once held so much sorrow became a place where I could worship Him freely and return not as a prisoner, but as a witness to His faithfulness.
“All my life You have been faithful. All my life You have been so, so good.”

For years, we've hoped and prayed for the opportunity to give gifts to the women at the Carol Young Unit, a medical facility near Galveston, and that door opened. We were able to give soap, deodorant, toothpaste, and lotion to over 400 women in this unit. Our friend Cat met us in Texas City, and Hannah and Cat lovingly passed these items out. Once again, we'll be delivering cooling towels and hygiene products to 10,000 incarcerated women across Texas prison units—many of which still do not have air conditioning.

In some facilities, temperatures become dangerously high during the summer months. While advocacy groups and lawmakers continue pushing for change, we want to meet an immediate need in a practical way.

A cooling towel may seem small, but to someone enduring extreme heat, it can mean real relief and a reminder that they are seen and valued.

We are excited to introduce one of our newest students at Syndeo Discipleship School - Brittnie.

Brittnie made the courageous decision to step away from the familiar and pursue real, lasting change in her life. She came to Syndeo with a desire to grow deeper in her faith, find healing, and walk in the purpose God has for her. Like many who come through our doors, her story is still being written—but already we are seeing her hunger for truth and transformation.

Discipleship isn’t always easy. It requires surrender, humility, and a willingness to let God reshape the areas of our lives we may have held onto for years. Brittnie has embraced this process with an open heart, choosing to lean in even when it’s challenging. It’s been encouraging to watch her take steps forward, building a stronger foundation rooted in Christ.

At Syndeo, we believe life change happens in community, through intentional discipleship, and by encountering God daily. Brittnie is now part of that journey, and we are honored to walk alongside her as she continues to grow. We invite you to join us in praying for Brittnie—that she would experience deep healing, clarity in her calling, and strength to continue saying “yes” to all that God has for her.

Every year, we visit prison units across Texas—most of which still do not have air conditioning, with temps climbing well above 100 degrees, creating extremely difficult living conditions for the women housed there. In July, we are preparing to serve 10,000 incarcerated women by providing cooling towels to help bring some relief during the extreme heat and meeting a very real need Plus, reminding these ladies that they have not been forgotten.
