A CHRISTMAS MIRACLE
When Laura and I returned from Israel in March, our minds exploded with vision for the Cross site. We redesigned the site, submitted the plans to our 501(c)3 board, and they, too, agreed we must build it. The new site will be surrounded by 16 ft. tall walls of ancient Jerusalem. You will enter through the Lion's Gate, the starting point of the Via Dolorosa (the path Jesus took to His crucifixion). To the left of the gate will be a Nativity exhibit, a cave-like stable under an inn. The focal point of the site will be the Cross itself, towering 230 ft. into the air, the largest Cross in the Western Hemisphere, second largest Cross in the world. The Cross will be surrounded by a 36,000 gallon baptismal pool with a bronze likeness of Jesus being baptized by John. Directly behind the Cross will stand the Western Wall where people can pray and deposit their written prayer request between the cracks of the stones. To the east will be an exact replica of the Garden Tomb of Jesus nestled in an Olive Garden. People will be able to enter the weeping room and see where the body of Jesus rested for three days before His resurrection. In the far left corner of the site will be Herod's Temple (1/3 scale) displaying the seven candle Menorah, the Table of Show Bread, the Incense Altar, and the Curtain leading to the Holy of Holies.
Across from the Temple will be Nicanor's Gate leading to the Court of Women, and on the end will be the Eastern Gate where Jesus made His Triumphal Entry into the city on Palm Sunday. Outside the eastern wall you can visit the Pool of Siloam, built by King Hezekiah 2,700 years ago. This is the pool where Jesus told the blind man to go wash and his sight was restored. Three other features at the Cross will include: a 48 seat theater, the Mount of Olives, and the largest nine-candle Menorah in the world. Jesus celebrated Hanukkah in John chapter 10.
When complete in 2026, the Corpus Christi Cross site will tell the story of Jesus from His birth to His ascension. The site will be FREE to all because God's Gift of salvation is free to all. Construction resumed this month, but your partnership is vital to complete the project. Would you join us with a generous gift and sign up for secure giving by going to the Cross website: www.corpuschristicross.com
Your gift will help us share the gospel with at least a quarter of a million people per year and leave a legacy that will last through eternity.
Merry Christmas from the Corpus Christi Cross!
