Friends Church Corona

Friends Church Corona Corona Friends Church is a Jesus-centered, welcoming community in Corona, CA where you can belong, build relationships, and grow in faith.

We’re passionate about transforming lives, healing hearts, and building a brighter future. Join us Sundays at 10am ✨ Corona Friends Church opened its doors on Easter of 1994 in the Promenade Cinema. Since then, we have moved to our own property where we worship together on Sundays in our Worship Center (gym) on Ontario Ave. In 2024, our lead pastor, John Bos, retired and a new lead pastor, Matt D

ietz, was brought in to lead our congregation for the next season of our church. In this new season, we have discovered that we are a church that is called to be a community of believers committed to making more and better disciples of Jesus (Matthew 28:19-20). We do this by showing people a love of God that allows them to know who God is, find healing, discover their purpose, and make a difference in our world. It's an exciting season to be a part of our church as God continues to grow us. We invite you to join us on Sunday mornings at 10:00am for our worship service.

🧱THIS SUNDAY WAS NEEDED🧱

We talked about what happens when you start rebuilding what God has called you to rebuild. The truth? The moment you start moving bricks, opposition shows up. 👀 Fear. Criticism. Distraction. Discouragement.

But one line stuck with us all: 👉 Sometimes resistance is proof you're finally moving in the right direction. The room got QUIET when we realized that the enemy doesn't always need to destroy you... sometimes he just needs to distract you. Because distracted people stop building.

And after service, Friends Feast reminded us of something beautiful: we're not rebuilding alone. ❤️ Around tables, over food, and through conversations, we were building something just as important, community.

Have you ever noticed that the moment you start doing what God has called you to do, opposition seems to show up? The reality is that every believer will face opposition. The question isn't if it will come, but how we will respond when it does.

This Sunday we'll continue our journey through Nehemiah as we look at how God's people responded when opposition threatened to stop the work God had called them to do. Whether you're facing challenges in your family, your faith, your work, or simply feeling worn down by life, I believe this message will encourage you and remind you that God is still at work, even in the middle of opposition.

And this Sunday is extra special because after service, we have our Friends Feast! We'll gather around the table for great food, meaningful conversation, and genuine fellowship. This is a simple and joyful opportunity to connect, laugh, and do life together as a church family.

We'll be serving BBQ chicken, hamburgers, and hot dogs, and if you're able, we'd love for you to bring a side dish to share.

🧱THIS SUNDAY HIT DIFFERENT🧱

We talked about what happens when you stop just talking about rebuilding… and actually pick up a brick. 👀 From half-finished DIY projects and six unnecessary Home Depot trips 😂… to the deeper reality that a lot of us have gotten comfortable walking around spiritual rubble.

And maybe that’s the part that landed hardest: 👉 The enemy is never threatened by intentions… he’s threatened by movement.

The room got QUIET when we realized: Some of us have been waiting to feel “ready” before obeying God. Ready to serve. Ready to heal. Ready to forgive. Ready to rebuild. But God has never called perfect people, He calls available people. 🙏

This week’s challenge: Stop walking around the rubble. Start rebuilding something. 🧱 Your faith. Your marriage. Your calling. Your family. Your church. Because revival doesn’t start when the wall is finished, it starts the moment people say YES. ❤️

We believe life is better spent together.

Summer Life Groups begin THIS WEEK, and we’re excited for a season of intentional community, encouragement, and spiritual growth. This summer, groups will also include social gatherings designed to help us slow down, build relationships, and simply enjoy doing life together.

We’re praying this is a season of deeper connection — with God and with one another. ☀️

🧱SUNDAY WAS WILD🧱

We talked about how humans can get used to literally anything; check-engine lights, the laundry chair., the “Storage almost full," the screen time reports that feel personally offensive... But underneath the humor was something deeper: A lot of us have slowly adapted to spiritual exhaustion. 👀 Busy. Distracted. Numb. Running on fumes.

The room got REAL when we talked about how Nehemiah heard the walls were broken and actually stopped long enough to FEEL it. He didn’t scroll past it. He wept. He prayed. 🙏 And the line that hit hardest:

👉 Comfort cannot heal what only God can restore. Maybe that restlessness you’ve been feeling lately isn’t random. Maybe God is waking your heart back up. ❤️

This week’s challenge: Turn the noise down. Put the phone away for a minute. Sit with God honestly. Because rebuilding starts… brick by brick. 🧱

Tonight was unforgettable.

Not because life is perfect.
Not because every prayer has been answered.
But because a room of people chose worship anyway.

Through every song, every tear, and every lifted hand, we were reminded that God is still faithful, even now. 🤍 Pain may get a chapter, but it does not get the final word.

💐SUNDAY WAS SPECIAL💐

We laughed about moms hearing a snack bag open from three rooms away and saying “I’m not asking again” 😂… but underneath all the funny moments was something deeper. A lot of moms are carrying weight nobody sees.

The room got real when we talked about how moms can be surrounded by people all day long and still feel completely alone. The pressure. The guilt. The exhaustion. The constant feeling of wondering, “Am I doing enough?” 👀

But the truth that landed heavy: God sees what nobody else sees. Every quiet sacrifice. Every late-night prayer. Every moment you kept showing up when you had nothing left. 🙌 And maybe the biggest reminder of the day: You may feel unseen… but you are NOT unnoticed. Your life is shaping people. Your faith is building generations. And Heaven has never lost sight of you. ❤️

This week’s challenge: Don’t just appreciate the moms in your life today, support them tomorrow. Honor isn’t a holiday. It’s a lifestyle.

Moms have a way of speaking life into us. The words they say, the prayers they pray, and the love they show can shape a family for generations.

Mother’s Day is meaningful, but we also know it can be emotional for many. Whether you’re celebrating, grieving, hoping, or remembering, our prayer is that our service would be a place where you feel seen, encouraged, and reminded of the hope we have in Jesus.

Bring your mom, bring your family, invite a friend, and come worship with us.
