Friends Church Corona

Friends Church Corona Corona Friends Church is a Jesus-centered, welcoming community in Corona, CA where you can belong, build relationships, and grow in faith.

We’re passionate about transforming lives, healing hearts, and building a brighter future. Join us Sundays at 10am ✨ Corona Friends Church opened its doors on Easter of 1994 in the Promenade Cinema. Since then, we have moved to our own property where we worship together on Sundays in our Worship Center (gym) on Ontario Ave. In 2024, our lead pastor, John Bos, retired and a new lead pastor, Matt D

ietz, was brought in to lead our congregation for the next season of our church. In this new season, we have discovered that we are a church that is called to be a community of believers committed to making more and better disciples of Jesus (Matthew 28:19-20). We do this by showing people a love of God that allows them to know who God is, find healing, discover their purpose, and make a difference in our world. It's an exciting season to be a part of our church as God continues to grow us. We invite you to join us on Sunday mornings at 10:00am for our worship service.

🔥 WHAT IF WE’RE KEEPING SCORE ACCORDING TO RULES JESUS NEVER GAVE US?

We tend to think a blessed life means things are going well; success, comfort, security, control. But when Jesus describes His Kingdom, He gives us a completely different picture. Jesus isn’t reversing the rankings. He’s replacing the scoreboard.

The Kingdom begins when we stop pretending we have everything we need and come to the King with empty hands saying, “I need You.” So maybe the question for us this week is: Where am I asking Jesus to help me succeed in a kingdom He’s actually calling me to surrender?

🔥 WHAT IF DOING THE RIGHT THING MAKES THINGS WORSE?

We like to believe that if we trust God, obey Him, and do the right thing… everything will work out. But what happens when it doesn’t?

Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego trusted God and still ended up in the fire. Their faith led them to say “God, we know who You are. We know You’re able. And even if You don’t… we’re still Yours.”

Sometimes faith is refusing to let go of God while you wait to see what He will do. And here’s the good news: God didn’t keep them from going into the furnace. He met them in it. If you’re walking through something you don’t understand, if you’ve been praying and nothing seems to be changing, if doing the right thing has somehow made life harder, then this message is for you.

What are you holding onto that God is asking you to hand over? 🙌 This morning, Pastor Tiffini walked us through the story of Hannah and reminded us that surrender isn’t giving up, it’s giving over.

Hannah brought God her disappointment. She released what she couldn’t control. And she trusted Him with what came next. And here’s what’s so powerful: her circumstances didn’t have to change before her heart could find peace.

Maybe there’s something you’ve been trying to control. An unanswered prayer. A relationship. Your future. Your family. Something you desperately want God to work out a certain way. You can tell God exactly what you’re carrying. Because true surrender doesn’t bring our desired results; true surrender brings peace. ❤️

What an incredible Sunday together at Corona Friends Church! 🙌

Today, Pastor Emma continued our Unlikely Heroes series as we looked at the story of David and Goliath and were reminded where our confidence really comes from.

Sometimes the battles in front of us can feel bigger than we are. Fear, uncertainty, relationships, circumstances, or things we’ve been carrying for far too long can leave us feeling overwhelmed. But the good news is we were never meant to fight our battles alone.

David’s story ultimately points us to Jesus, the Savior who stepped into the battle we could never win on our own and secured the victory for us. So this week, ask yourself: What am I holding onto because it makes me feel safe that God may be asking me to lay down?

Remember: God isn’t asking you to have it all figured out. He’s asking you to trust Him. He has been faithful before, and He will be faithful again. The battle belongs to Him.

What if you’ve drifted farther from God than you ever intended?

Spiritual drift rarely happens all at once. It happens quietly; a missed prayer, a busy week, a Bible left closed, one compromise after another. It’s not always that we reject Jesus; sometimes we simply begin replacing Him.

Maybe you’ve drifted too. Maybe prayer isn’t what it once was. Maybe your love for God’s Word has faded, or something else has slowly taken Jesus’ place. Here’s the good news: it’s never too late to return. God hasn’t stopped calling you back. The drift stops where surrender begins.

What if the moments you think matter least are the ones God is using most?

We spend so much of life waiting for the big moments; the breakthrough, the promotion, the answered prayer, the milestone. But what if God is doing His deepest work on an ordinary Tuesday?

Ruth didn't change history through one dramatic moment. She simply kept choosing faithfulness, one ordinary day at a time. And those quiet, unnoticed choices became part of God's redemption story.

Maybe today feels routine. Maybe it feels unseen. But don't underestimate what God is growing through your everyday obedience. The conversation you have, the prayer you pray, the kindness you show, the faithfulness you choose today may become someone else's hope tomorrow.

What if the label you've been carrying was never the name God intended for you?

Rahab was known by one title. That was the label everyone gave her, and the one she could have believed defined her forever. But God saw something no one else could. Before He changed her circumstances, He changed her identity. Her past didn't disqualify her from His story, it became the backdrop for His grace.

Maybe you've been letting shame, regret, or failure tell you who you are. But the loudest voice in your life doesn't have to be your past. It can be the voice of the Savior who rewrites stories, removes labels, and calls you His own.

We loved worshiping with you today! ❤️
