"WHEN HELL COMES AFTER YOU"
1 Peter 5:6–11 (ESV)

The Christian life is not a playground but a battlefield. Peter reminds us that we have a real enemy who prowls like a roaring lion, looking for weak, weary, isolated, and distracted believers to devour. Satan attacks through fear, lies, temptation, discouragement, pride, and spiritual drift. But even when hell comes after you, God has not abandoned you.

The enemy’s greatest weapon is deception. He whispers that you’re too far gone, that your failures define you, that grace has run out, and that compromise is easier than obedience. But spiritual warfare is ultimately a battle over truth. Peter calls believers to resist the enemy—not by trusting feelings, but by standing firm in faith and holding tightly to the truth of God’s Word.

And here is the hope we cling to: the battle is real, but it is not forever. Our strength is not found in ourselves, but in Christ. The God of all grace promises to restore, strengthen, confirm, and establish His people. The enemy may roar, accuse, tempt, and attack—but he cannot outrun the sovereignty of God or undo the grip of grace.

This Sunday, Pastor Charlie Moulton will preach “WHEN HELL COMES AFTER YOU” from 1 Peter 5:6–11. Come be encouraged, strengthened, and reminded that Christ holds His people secure through every battle.

Don’t come alone. Invite someone who needs hope and truth in the middle of the fight.

We’ll see you Sunday!

Hello Lakeshore Family-

This Sunday at Lakeshore City Church, we are walking into an honest and needed reminder from God’s Word.

When life changes…
when leadership changes…
when emotions feel heavy…
it becomes very easy to place our security in people instead of Christ.

But Matthew 16 reminds us of something powerful:

Jesus Christ alone builds, sustains, and secures His church.

This Sunday’s message:
“Jesus Never Leaves His Church”
Matthew 16:13–18

If your heart feels unsettled…
if you are carrying grief…
if you need hope again…
come hear the words of Jesus:

“I will build my church.”

The church has never depended on one man.
It belongs to Jesus Christ.

And the Savior who conquered death is still faithfully holding His people together.

Join us this Sunday at Lakeshore City Church.
We are not gathering around a personality.
We are gathering around a King who never abandons His church.

I love you church,

Pastor Charlie

Lakeshore Family,

This Sunday we come to one of the most powerful turning points in the entire book of Acts.

Acts 10:1–16
“The End of ‘Us and Them’”

There are moments in Scripture where God lovingly confronts the narrowness of the human heart. Acts 10 is one of those moments.

Peter thought he understood who belonged near God.
Then grace interrupted him.

This passage reminds us that the gospel of Jesus Christ is bigger than our categories, bigger than our prejudice, bigger than our pride, and bigger than the walls we build around people.

Some of us have quietly believed:
“People like that could never change.”
“People like that would never come to Jesus.”
“People like that do not belong here.”

But the cross of Christ destroys the barriers we build.

This Sunday we will see a God whose mercy reaches farther than we ever imagined.
A Savior who moves toward outsiders.
A gospel that tears down “us and them.”

And maybe most importantly, we will be reminded that every one of us was once the outsider rescued by grace.

If you are weary, broken, skeptical, ashamed, religious, wandering, or wondering if there is still room for you in the heart of God, come hear this good news:
Jesus Christ still saves sinners.

I would love for you to join us this Sunday at Lakeshore City Church.

I love you church.

Pastor Charlie

This Sunday, we step into one of the most dramatic moments in all of Scripture.
A man who thought he was right
A life moving with passion and purpose
And yet running hard in the wrong direction

In Acts 9:1–19, we see what happens when Jesus steps in and stops a man in his tracks. This is not just Saul’s story; it is ours. Because it is possible to be busy, driven, even religious, and still miss Christ. And it is possible, in a single moment, for everything to change.

If you have ever wondered
Am I headed in the right direction
Why does God sometimes interrupt my life
Can God really change someone like me

Then you need to be in the room.

There is something powerful about gathering together, hearing the Word, worshiping side by side, and being reminded that we are not walking this life alone. Do not miss what God may want to do in you and among us this Sunday.

I love you, church,
Pastor Charlie

What a beautiful sight it is to see an altar filled with people in prayer—hearts surrendered, burdens laid down, and faith rising together.

In a world that moves so fast, there’s something powerful about pausing in His presence, seeking, trusting, and believing.

Moments like these remind us that we’re never alone, and that there is strength, healing, and hope found when we come together in prayer. 🙏

Church family,

This Sunday I will be preaching from Acts 8:26 to 40 in a message titled ""From Confusion to Christ"". This is a powerful story of a man who is searching, reading Scripture, and doing all the right things on the outside, yet still does not understand what he truly needs. And in a moment orchestrated by God, everything changes when Jesus is made clear to him.

This passage reminds us that many people live in that same space today. Close to truth but missing the Savior. Religious but not redeemed. Searching but still unsure. What we see in this text is a God who pursues, a Word that speaks, and a Savior who meets us right in our confusion and brings clarity, hope, and life.

I believe this message will meet you right where you are. Whether you are wrestling, weary, confident, or uncertain, God is still in the business of moving people from confusion to Christ. I hope you will come ready, come expectant, and come hungry for what the Lord wants to do.

With Love,
Pastor Charlie

Is Your Heart Right Before God?
Acts 8:9–25

It’s possible to believe in God, and yet still have a heart that isn’t fully right before Him. In Acts 8:9–25, we encounter Simon, a man who witnessed the power of God but whose heart was still misaligned. His story reminds us that spiritual activity does not always equal spiritual surrender.

Sometimes, as believers, we drift into places God never intended for us, where sin lingers, priorities shift, and our love for Him grows cold. Scripture reminds us in 1 John 1:8–10 that we must be honest about our condition, because freedom begins with confession. When our hearts are not right before God, it often shows: we lose interest in His Word, prayer becomes an afterthought, we trust in people over Him, and we begin to love the things of this world more than the things of God.

Acts 8 challenges us to examine ourselves. Are we putting Jesus first? Are we devoted to Him, or distracted by lesser things? Are we shaping our lives around God’s truth, or trying to shape His truth around us?

But there is hope. When our hearts are not right, God calls us back, not with rejection, but with grace. The answer is clear: repent, acknowledge the truth, and return to Him. As 2 Corinthians 13:5 reminds us, we are called to examine our faith and realign our lives with Christ.

Let this be a call to put Jesus back in His rightful place, devoting ourselves again to prayer, to His Word, and to living in community with His people.

God isn’t looking for perfection. He’s looking for hearts that are fully His.
