In this hopeful message, Pastor Janette Lyndaker Gallagher explored what it means to live faithfully in the “in-between” time before God makes all things new. She challenged us to embody resurrection values and join in Christ’s mission while awaiting the full restoration of creation.

In this message, Cindy Singer, a hospital chaplain and a member of CMF, reflected on how faith is refined through life’s “aggravations,” strengthening hope even when the future is uncertain and unseen. She challenged us to rethink claims of persecution and instead live out our faith by recognizing Christ in all people and embodying that hope in how we treat others. Debra Taylor read the message text from I Peter.

Join us! Shane Claiborne will discuss his Call to Christians — a call to action, urging believers to speak out and take bold steps to resist the injustices and anti-democratic forces that threaten our democracy. Attendees will learn practical ways our communities and religious establishments can join together for greater, bolder acts of courage. Free and open to the public.

Shane worked with Mother Teresa, founded The Simple Way in Philadelphia, and leads Red Letter Christians — people who take Jesus’ words seriously. He’s been to war zones for peace, jail for the homeless, and now fights to end the death penalty and gun violence. Author of The Irresistible Revolution, Beating Guns, Executing Grace, and newest book Rethinking Life.

The resurrection was life changing for Mary – “I have seen the Lord!,” she declared – and it is transformational for all who embrace the risen Christ. Pastor Janette Lynette Gallagher recalls those exciting times at the empty tomb, and the universal impact of the resurrection. Debra Taylor reads the Easter story from John 20.

He is Risen!

He is Risen!

Today, we celebrate with joy.

On Easter Sunday, we remember the story of Jesus’ resurrection—not rushing past it, but celebrating it together.

“He is not here; he has risen, just as he said.” (Matthew 28:1–10)

The stone is rolled away.
The tomb is empty.
Alleluia!

Good Friday…we sit with it….

Good Friday…we sit with it….

Today, we sit in the shadows.

On Good Friday, we remember the story of Jesus’ death—not rushing past it, not softening it, but walking through it together.

This simple Tenebrae-inspired ritual invites your family to see the story unfold:

🕯️ Light six candles
📖 Read the story of Jesus’ arrest, trial and crucifixion (John 18–19)
🌑 Extinguish one candle at a time as the story moves forward
🖤 Watch the light grow dim
🧵 Cover the table with a cloth

Good Friday is not the end of the story… but today, we don’t skip ahead.
