Today we celebrate the start of Holy Week!

Palm Sunday - Marks Jesus' triumphal entry into Jerusalem where He is welcomed by crowds of people waving palm branches (Matthew 21:1-11)

Holy Monday: Jesus clears the temple, driving out merchants and money changers. (Matthew 21:12-22)

Holy Tuesday: Jesus evades ambush and gives the Olivet Discourse (Matthew 21:23-24:51)

Holy Wednesday (Spy Wednesday): Judas Iscariot meets with the Jewish leaders and agrees to betray Jesus. (Matthew 26:12-14)

Maundy Thursday (Holy Thursday): Jesus celebrates the Last Supper with his disciples, washes their feet, and is arrested in the Garden of Gethsemane. (Matthew 26:17-75)

Good Friday: Jesus is trialed and crucified, then taken down from the cross and places in the tomb. (Matthew 27:1-62)

Holy Saturday: Jesus’ body lays in the tomb and Is treated for burial; disciples come out of hiding and mourn openly. (Matthew 27:62-66)

RESURRECTION DAY: Multiple eyewitness accounts of Jesus having resurrected and the discovery of the empty tomb. (Matthew 28:1-13)
