Celebrate with and congratulate Kim Brantner on this wonderful honor! Congrats, Kim!
🌟Introducing your 2026 Taylor County 4-H Foundation Hall of Fame Award Winner: Mrs. Kim Brantner! Taylor County is fortunate to have had her to prepare youth for life and work.
🍀Kim Brantner of Taylor County embodies the spirit, values, and lifelong impact of Iowa 4-H. From her earliest years as a 4-H member to her decades of professional service through Iowa State University Extension and Outreach, Kim’s connection to 4-H has truly spanned a lifetime.
🍀Kim’s 4-H career began in Adams County as a youth member of the Sunny Sisters girls’ club and the Grant Go Getters boys’ club. She exhibited both static and livestock projects at county and state fairs while also showing livestock at Ak-Sar-Ben. Her involvement extended beyond 4-H participation; alongside her younger sister, Karen, the pair developed entrepreneurial skills by breeding and selling their own hogs and cattle. These early 4-H experiences helped shape the work ethic, leadership, responsibility, and commitment to service that would define Kim’s life and career.

🍀Kim’s commitment to 4-H has also extended across generations. Her mother, Gwen Maynes, was inducted into the Iowa 4-H Hall of Fame in 2012. Today, Kim’s daughter serves as a Taylor County 4-H leader, while her three grandchildren actively participate as Taylor County 4-H members. Kim resides in Lenox with her husband, Pete.
