COLOMBIA PRESENTATION AND FALL FELLOWSHIP

Ann and Wyatt Smith (and Jackson who could not be with us Sunday), Oct. 18, gave those who gathered in the Jenness Library, a travelogue of their August trip to Colombia. The trip was planned to help augment their Spanish language skills, but also to experience the culture of Colombia. They self-designed the trip to include less traveled areas and were at one point on mountains 7000 ft. high. They walked steep paths, saw numerous birds, and animals such as ocelots that were new to them, and ate foods that included many vegetables. The people were easy going and loved music and dancing. Bright colors were everywhere on buildings and clothing. Husband and father, David Smith Jr., has been reluctant in the past to let Ann go to the country of her dreams (due to political concerns) but now feels more relaxed about Colombia.

PL&F served delicious finger foods, c***r and coffee for the special and appreciated event.

This week we will be covering Chapter 9 in of “What Do Our Neighbors Believe”.

Join us for a transformative Zoom series Wednesdays at 11:00AM, where we will explore the rich tapestry of Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. As we educate ourselves on these three great monotheistic religions, we aim to dispel ignorance and foster mutual respect. This is an opportunity to become the peacemakers we aspire to be.

Pastor Appreciation Day was celebrated Sunday, October 4 with a special Fellowship Time in the Jenness Library. It can be celebrated as a day, or the month of October. We should celebrate Pastor Jeff, Lynde, and Family for all they do for our church every day of the year!
