Gurfateh everyone!

CornellSikhs is back in business!!! After our little break, we will be hosting our first in-person event today (04/21) at 5pm in Goldwin Smith Hall (GSH162). We will have candid discussions on our journeys through Sikhi and Sikh identity (and other faith-based identities and practices we carry) as part of what we are calling as 'Sikh Discussion Series'. Plus we will also have food and drinks (pizza from Pizza Aroma -- vegan and glutten-free options available upon request). This is also our way of celebrating Vaisakhi, so we hope to see some of you tonight!

Today we celebrate the 550th birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev Ji, the founder of Sikhism. Happy Gurpurab!!

Cornell Sikh Students Association is proud to announce that we will be co-sponsoring SASSY (Students Against the Sexual Solicitation of Youth) for CSEC Awareness Week, from November 12th-16th. CSEC Awareness Week will focus on bringing to light the issues of commercial sexual exploitation of youth, while transforming public perception.

On November 13th at 5:00pm in Rockefeller 201, join SASSY for a presentation by Dr. Vivian Pender, a Clinical Professor of Psychiatry at the Weill Cornell Medical College and a Training Psychoanalyst at Columbia University. She will be talking about the commercial sexual exploitation of children in New York state as well as the intersection between CSEC and healthcare.
