Mt. Zion United Methodist Church Worship services are Sundays at 8:30 and 11:00 AM. The 11:00 AM service is broadcast online. Mt. As John Wesley said, "God loves you; therefore love and obey him.

Zion UMC welcomes all people to worship with us and experience God's love in Jesus Christ through the power of the Holy Spirit. We seek to make disciples for Jesus Christ by showing God's love, mature disciples through teaching and study, and mobilize disciples through missions and outreach that transform our community and world. We seek to proclaim and embody the historic Christian faith as expre

ssed in our Wesleyan tradition. Christ died for you; therefore die to sin. Christ is risen; therefore rise in the image of God. 🍂 September is here—and fall is bringing new energy to Mt. Zion!

Summer has been a wonderful season of ministry, rest, and renewal, and now we’re getting ready for an exciting fall together. Our Youth, Children, Preschool, and Music ministries are all ramping up, and there are plenty of ways for people of all ages to connect, serve, learn, and grow.

Here are a few September highlights I hope you’ll join us for:

🧒 Children’s Wing Open House
Come see our newly remodeled Children’s Wing and celebrate this wonderful new space made possible through your generosity! Join us between worship services on September 13. HeBrews will also be open on the first floor of the Education Building.

🇺🇸 9/11 Memorial Service
Join our community on September 11 at 8:30 AM at Fire Station #1, across from the church, as we remember and honor those affected by the September 11 attacks. Mt. Zion will provide hospitality, parking, and shuttle service.

🥪 Reflections Over Lunch
Join me at noon on September 14, 21, and 28 in the HeBrews room. Bring your lunch and join us for conversation, fellowship, and a chance to reflect more deeply on Sunday’s message.

There is something special about being part of a church community where we live our faith together. I hope you’ll find a place to connect this fall!

There’s a lot happening at Mt. Zion—and we’re excited about it! 💙

Our Children’s Wing has been remodeled, the playground has been spruced up, preschool is getting ready to start back next week, and Children’s Church is now happening during both worship services! 🎉

It’s a pretty great reminder that we’re a church that believes in investing in our kids and creating spaces where children and families can grow, learn, and feel at home.
And this Sunday, we’re taking that idea a little further as we explore what it means to do life together.

How do we handle conflict when we don’t see eye to eye? What does it look like to live in a community with one another? And how can we recognize God’s presence when we gather together?

Come join us as we talk about faith, relationships, and what it really means to be the church. We hope to see you Sunday! 🙌

🎶 Music Preview:

Woody will open both services with the organ prelude “Marching to Zion."

At 8:30 AM, the Praise Team will provide the special music.

At 11:00 AM, the Chancel Choir will lead us in special music from the loft.

We'll also sing together “We Are the Church” (UMH 558) and “Now Let Us from This Table Rise” (UMH 634).

👧👦 Children’s Church is happening during both services!

Whether you’re bringing the kids, coming on your own, or somewhere in between, there’s a place for you at Mt. Zion.

Looking for a welcoming place to meet new people, enjoy a good meal, and connect with other women in our community? Join the Women of Zion for a Cookout on Tuesday, September 9 at 6:30 p.m. on the front lawn of Mt. Zion United Methodist Church.

Women of all ages and stages of life are invited. You don’t need to be a member of Mt. Zion or even attend church to join us. Whether you’re new to the community, looking to make new friends, or simply ready for an evening of food, laughter, and fellowship, we’d love to have you with us.

Come as you are, bring a friend, and enjoy a relaxed evening together as we kick off another year of Women of Zion.

HIS Ministry provides opportunities for adults with special needs to experience friendship, faith, fellowship, and fun in a welcoming and supportive environment.

Join us on the 2nd Sunday of each month from 5:00–6:30 PM for an evening that includes:
• Devotions and prayer
• Music and celebration
• Fellowship and friendship
• Snacks and crafts
• Plenty of fun!

HIS Ministry welcomes individuals with developmental disabilities and their families. Children and youth are also welcome when accompanied by a parent, and groups are welcome with a responsible adult.
