Matthew 18:20 says, “For where two or three gather in my name, there I am with them.” This morning we joined together to pray for a 6 year old student in our school district diagnosed with cancer this week. As you pray, remember this precious girl and her family!

Fridays are for FCA at CHS! Thank you to one of our former FCA leaders and now teaching assistant, Mr Cody Hubbs for sharing his testimony with our students this morning! He filled in for us today at the last minute and did a great job sharing how wonderful it is to have Jesus in your life! Cody was very encouraging to our students; he shared for us to take brokenness and turn it around for good when we allow the Lord to work in our life! We appreciate Mr Cody and all of our student leaders today (Bailey Webb, Clay Botner, Max Farmer, and Layla Cloud).

Thank you to our school resource officer, Mr Greg Hill for sharing the goodness of God with us at FCA last month! He shared how we are called to spread the Word and tell others about Jesus whether it be at the lunch table, classroom, or with a teammate! Thank you for your encouragement to our students!! Since our account was disabled, we hadn’t shared how awesome it was to have our very own Corbin Independent Schools Superintendent, Mr. Travis Wilder, to join us for FCA and share with us! He spoke from, John 16:33, and shared, we are told that we will have trouble in this world. Will you allow that adversity to make you or brake you? The longer you hold on to the weight, the more it brings you down. In John 10:10, the enemy wants to steal, kill, and destroy. He reminded us to run our race, be rid of and let go of the things weighing you down. We have to hold onto our true faith which is believing in God because God wants to do something huge in our life! Thank you Mr. Wilder! We look forward to having you back again!!

We welcomed back Coach Isaac Wilson to share how good it is to know the Lord as our Savior. He spoke a few weeks ago and shared about God’s Grace and how we have to also show grace to others because God shows us grace daily. He also shared his personal testimony of Salvation! A couple of weeks ago, we were so blessed to have two of our student leaders share their hearts with us! Juniors, Laura Newcomb and Charli Nartker, did a wonderful job sharing how they keep one another accountable and how important it is to have friends who are followers of Jesus to help you grow in your walk. They also shared how it trickles down on their team and brings their team together as one. We appreciate Laura and Charli being bold and obedient to share how good it is to know Jesus!

We’re back!!! Our account was disabled for a while! Yesterday, we welcomed CMS Football Coach Chance Hendrickson who is also a teacher at our vocational school. Coach reminded us that we need 3 people in our lives; a mentor to lead us, someone to walk the same path as us, and a mentee that we can bring closer to God. He also challenged us to “fill the room” at FCA!! He was very encouraging to our students and we can’t wait for him to share again soon! We appreciate our student leaders; Easton Hendrickson, Adriana Gonzales, Brooke Mills, and Clay Botner.

FCA was exactly what we all needed Friday morning! Thank you Mr Chad Estep for sharing what the Lord laid on your heart and being so relatable for our students! Chad reminded us that no matter what life brings us whether it be unexpected illness or loss of a loved one, God will never leave us nor forsake us! We have to remember that Scripture is accurate and to always trust God. And when we face adversity out of our control, God wants us to forgive, just as He forgave us, which he shared from Colossians. He reminded us to use our words wisely and be careful what we say and hurt others because we all will give an account to the Lord.
Thank you to all of our student leaders for stepping up and helping lead FCA!!
