✝️He Is Risen! Alleluia!
Today we rejoice in the good news that changes everything. The tomb is empty, Christ is alive, and hope has the final word.

On Easter, we remember that God’s love breaks through every darkness, bringing renewal, forgiveness, and new beginnings. In the resurrection, we see a God who meets us with compassion, welcomes us as we are, and calls us to share that same love with the world.

“He is not here; for He has been raised.”
- Matthew 28:6

Easter reminds us that God’s grace is always at work, even in the places where we feel stuck, weary, or uncertain. The risen Christ steps into our lives with peace and possibility, inviting us to trust that new life can grow in us too. Where might God be bringing resurrection hope into your story this week—perhaps in a relationship, a burden you’ve been carrying, or a place where you long for renewal?

From all of us at St. Andrew Lutheran Church, we wish you a joyful and hope‑filled Easter.
Christ is risen indeed. Alleluia!

As we enter Holy Week, we began with the joyful shouts of “Hosanna!” yesterday, a reminder that Jesus enters our lives not with force or fear, but with humility, compassion, and a love that transforms everything it touches.

Palm Sunday invites us to see Christ’s kingship for what it truly is:

• A kingdom built on mercy
• A Savior who draws near to the hurting
• A love that chooses the cross for our sake

This week, we walk with Jesus toward the heart of our faith. Each day offers a moment to pause, breathe, and remember the depth of God’s love for the world.

Devotions for Holy Week
As you move through the days ahead, consider this simple prayerful rhythm:

🌅 Monday — Stillness
“Lord, quiet my heart so I may hear You.”
Take a moment to sit in silence and remember that God meets you right where you are.

🫶 Tuesday — Kindness
“Help me reflect Your love in my words and actions.”
Look for one small way to show unexpected kindness today.

🍞 Wednesday — Trust
“Jesus, steady me when life feels uncertain.”
Offer to God whatever is weighing on your heart.

✝️ Thursday — Service
“Teach me to love as You have loved me.”
Remember Jesus washing the disciples’ feet—love expressed through humble service.

🌑 Friday — Compassion
“Lord, let Your sacrifice shape my life.”
Reflect on the cross and the depth of Christ’s love for all people.

🌤 Saturday — Hope
“Hold me in the waiting.”
Holy Saturday reminds us that God is at work even when we cannot see it.

As we prepare for Easter morning, may this week draw us closer to Christ and to one another. May our church be a place where every person feels welcomed, loved, and reminded that God’s grace is for them.

🌿 Blessed Holy Week to you and your family.
We look forward to celebrating the hope of the Resurrection together this Easter.

Consider joining us for Easter service Sunday 4/5 at 9:30am. We’d love to have you celebrate with us!

🌊The Living Water

This week’s gospel invites us to linger at the well with Jesus and the Samaritan woman, listening to His promise of living water, a gift that reaches into the dry, weary places of our lives. In this encounter, Jesus doesn’t wait for perfection, preparation, or worthiness. He meets her in the middle of her day, in the middle of her story, and offers a grace that renews from the inside out.

So many of us know what it feels like to be thirsty in ways that go beyond the physical. This could mean that we are thirsty for peace, for clarity, for belonging, for rest. Jesus’ words remind us that God’s presence is not a scarce resource. It is a well that does not run dry, even when our own strength feels like it does.

As we continue our Lenten journey, this story invites us to pause and notice where we are longing for renewal. Where are we carrying burdens that feel heavy? Where are we hoping for a fresh start? Where do we need God’s living water to flow again?

Reflection for the week:
What part of your life feels thirsty right now, and how might Christ be gently offering you living water in that very place?

This week’s gospel (John 3:1–17) tells the story of Nicodemus, a man who came to Jesus with doubts, questions, and difficulties he couldn’t overcome on his own. Jesus didn’t turn him away. Instead, He offered a promise: God’s love is bigger than every barrier we face.

As we continue our Lenten journey, we remember that difficulties are not signs of failure. They are invitations to pause, breathe, and let God lead us into something new.
Where we see dead ends, God sees new life. Where we feel stuck, God is already opening a door.

May this week be filled with small reminders that God’s love meets us right where we are and gently guides us forward.

As we make our way through the first week of Lent, we heard the Gospel from Matthew 4:1–11 this Sunday, where Jesus is led into the wilderness. Hungry, tired, and vulnerable, He faces temptation, yet responds each time with faithfulness, humility, and trust in God’s Word.

Lent reminds us that we, too, walk through “wilderness moments”. Times when we feel stretched thin. Times when we’re tempted to choose what is easy instead of what is loving. Times when the world feels harsh or divided.

But Jesus shows us another way.
A way rooted in God’s truth.
A way shaped by compassion.
A way that chooses love over power, mercy over pride, and service over self‑interest.

Take a moment each day this week to pray:
“Lord, give me strength in my wilderness moments. Help me live as Your follower — loving others as You have loved me.”

Living like Christians isn’t about perfection. It’s about choosing, again and again, to reflect Christ’s love in our words, our actions, and the way we treat every person we meet.
In a world that often pulls us toward impatience, judgment, or division, we are called to be people of kindness, welcome, and grace.

May this first week of Lent draw us closer to Christ, who strengthens us in the wilderness and sends us out to love the world boldly and generously.
