God has given every human person his or her potential for perceiving the truth and choosing accordingly between good and evil. Let us not pretend not to know what the humanity of others requires of all of us. Let us instead always be mindful of our calling to seek, speak, and serve the truth—for the sake of the unborn, and for the sake even of pro-choicers.

I applaud efforts to “go local,” to bring pro-life advocacy and organizing down to the state and municipal level, however the path forward seems uncertain to me. I must acknowledge now that winning hearts and minds could be a perennial challenge."

"On the one hand, our mission—extending the protection of the law to the unborn—is a matter of life and death... And on the other hand, we want to bring life. Human life is more than survival: It requires joy shared with others. When we allow the seriousness of the pro-life cause to eclipse our shared life or our appreciation for others, we cripple our own movement. If we want to inspire hope among mothers, fathers, and the general public, we’ve got to show that we cherish their lives as much as we want them to cherish the unborn."

"Christians remember that to receive the unborn child is to receive Jesus, and that the habit of affirming the dignity and value of other persons is at the heart of Our Lord’s saving work."

Scholarly commentators hasten to point out that in the ancient world people did not project onto children our contemporary romantic notions of innocence or purity. On the contrary, children born to common families were unworthy of the attention of adult males.

"Like Elijah, let us recall our own Mount Horeb, the covenant of human dignity and solidarity upon which is founded our pro-life identity and mission. And recalling what it means to be pro-life, let us be strengthened for our own journey."

Our victory has won us little respect. Pro-choicers pretend to unforeseen grievance, as if we hadn’t spent decades explaining our own grievance with Roe and the pro-abortion mindset behind it.

Many prolifers are already engaged in heroic efforts to help mothers in distress. Some of them provide material support to women in need, offering them shelter both before and after birth. These are prolifers of extravagance par excellence.
