We're excited to announce our Adult Sunday School series starting next Sunday: "Wrestling with Violence." How do we reconcile troubling texts of violence--especially in the Old Testament--with the passages of peace in the New Testament? In this class, we are going to be wrestling with the Bible together believing that in our struggle with difficult passages, there is blessing to be had. If you've had questions or concerns about what you've read, this is the place for you.

Join us at 9:15am before service each Sunday in the Adult Education Room (at the end of the long hallway).

Have you ever been frustrated with God? It's not a trick question...it's okay to say it. Have you felt like your prayers are a one-sided conversation? Do they even make a difference? Does God even care?

Our new series on the short prophetic book of Habakkuk starts this Sunday, and we will be exploring all these questions and more as we learn to seek after His plan rather than our own proposed outcomes.

We're so excited to welcome Jenna Smith as our new Director of Worship Ministries at New Life!

Jenna is excited to come alongside the mission of New Life and help lead our church family in authentic, Christ-centered worship. She has a passionate and genuine heart for worship and music ministry. As a pastor's kid in this area, she grew up in the Church admiring and serving alongside worship teams, and God has continued to cultivate that calling in her life throughout college and then as a Choral and General Music teacher at various schools including Heritage Christian School in North Liberty where she still teaches.

We're grateful that God has brought Jenna, her husband Austin, and their two boys to New Life, and we can't wait for you to get to know them more!
