Our next New Members Class starts this Sunday!

This two-week class (April 26 & May 3) is for anyone curious about what that next step of faith into deeper commitment within the New Life community might be. Whether you’re new or have been attending for a while, this is a great opportunity to learn more about who we are and what it means to be a part of this covenant community.

If you haven’t been baptized, this class will also help prepare you to respond to God’s work in your life so that we can celebrate together on your baptism Sunday!

Sign up below. Lunch and childcare are provided! We’d love for you to join us!

While it saddens us to see them go, Sean Flanagan will be transitioning out of his role as New Life's Worship Director in August as he and his wife will be moving for her graduate schooling.

In light of this transition, New Life has begun the search for our next Director of Worship Ministries, who will be responsible for leading and developing the worship life of the church, with a primary focus on Sunday gatherings, volunteer teams, and worship technology. This role collaborates closely with the Lead Pastor to plan and lead Christ-centered, biblically grounded worship services that invite congregational participation.

Key responsibilities include leading worship services, coordinating and discipling musicians and A/V volunteers, organizing rehearsals and schedules, and overseeing the worship environment and technology. The Director also manages communication, ensures compliance with licensing requirements, and supports the spiritual growth of the worship team through prayer and discipleship.

This individual should demonstrate a strong personal faith in Jesus Christ, possess musical and leadership ability, and have experience in worship ministry. A servant-hearted attitude, team collaboration, and a passion for helping others grow in worship and ministry are essential.

If you or someone you know is interested, check out our job posting below on our website where you can find a full job description and application.

This Sunday, we'll be launching into a new sermon series called, "Living His Way." So often the perception that people have of Christianity is that it's simply a set of moral "do's and don'ts" so that God will be happy with you. But by looking back at the Old Testament, back at the story of God's redemption, we see that God delivers His people first, and then calls them to live His way out of gratitude, knowing that it's for their best.

In this series, we're going to be taking a second look at the Ten Commandments from the perspective of Deuteronomy. Why did the people of God need a second look or a reminder of God's way before they entered into the Promised Land?

We hope you'll join us on this journey together!

Engage: Gathering 2026

Mark your calendars! Gathering 2026 is happening August 19–21, 2026 at Community Reformed Church in Zeeland, Michigan.

This year’s theme is Engage, with a focus on discipleship. You may notice this is a change from our previously announced theme. After prayerful consideration and thoughtful conversation, the Gathering Team discerned that Engage more clearly captures what God is inviting us into in this next season.

Rooted in our shared call to discipleship, Gathering 2026 invites leaders and churches to engage with God, with one another, and with the mission of making disciples. Together, we will explore how God calls us to equip disciples to faithfully follow Jesus in a shifting world. Through worship, teaching, and shared learning, we will sharpen our vision, strengthen our practices, and step fully into God’s call of discipleship.

In February, we will share the registration link and hotel information for the Gathering. Early bird registration will be $60 per person, with regular pricing at $80 per person beginning in May. Day passes will also be available for $30 per person. We look forward to engaging together in fellowship, worship, prayer and discipleship with you in August.
