The St. Thomas More Racial Equity Initiative invites you to gather with us as we celebrate Juneteenth, a day that commemorates freedom, hope, and the dignity of every person created in God's image.

A beautiful new reminder of God’s presence now welcomes all who enter St. Thomas More.

This weekend, our parish was blessed with the presentation and blessing of Mother of God, Seat of Wisdom, a new icon created by renowned artist Fr. William Hart McNichols. The icon now has a permanent home in our devotional chapel near the church entrance.

Mary’s life teaches us what it means to listen, trust, and follow God with an open heart. As we encounter this sacred image, may it inspire us to seek Christ, grow in wisdom, and find moments of stillness in the midst of busy lives.

Prayer to Mother of God, Seat of Wisdom
Written by Fr. William Hart McNichols

O Mary Most Holy Mother,
Your lap is the seat of Hagia Sophia, Christ Our Lord and Savior, Holy Wisdom.

As we pray into the Gospels, we can see every action, every command spoken and unspoken, every compassionate healing movement, every loving tilt of His head up to His Abba, His Father is Wisdom Incarnate.

Teach us, O Holy Mother, as you continually pondered while watching Him on Earth, when to be silent and when to act.

Lead us in a life of prayer, always to remain in Him and in humility, and if need be, if genuinely called by Jesus or His Bride, the Church, into the suffering of prophetic wisdom.

Amen.

Join the St. Thomas More Social Justice Commission and Knights of Columbus as we partner with Habitat for Humanity to help build an affordable home for a local family in need!

This is a wonderful opportunity to put our faith into action, serve our neighbors, and work alongside fellow parishioners to make a lasting difference in someone's life.

💙 No construction experience? No problem!
Habitat provides all the training, tools, and equipment needed. All you need is a willing heart and a desire to help.
