Prayer for the New School Year

Heavenly Father,

As a new school year begins, we place every student, teacher, administrator, staff member, bus driver, cafeteria worker, volunteer, and family into Your loving hands.

Lord, cover our schools with Your protection and peace. Keep every child safe as they learn, grow, and build friendships. Give them confidence, wisdom, and a love for learning. Help them to make good choices and to treat others with kindness and respect.

Bless our teachers and administrators with patience, strength, creativity, and discernment. May they lead with compassion, inspire with excellence, and feel supported in the important work they do each day.

Lord, guide every parent and caregiver as they encourage and support their children throughout the year. Strengthen the partnership between families and schools so that every child can thrive.

Protect our campuses from harm, fear, bullying, and negativity. Let every classroom be filled with understanding, encouragement, and opportunities for success. May Your presence be felt in every hallway, office, classroom, playground, and school bus.

We pray for a year of growth, achievement, good health, meaningful relationships, and countless blessings. May each person who enters a school building know they are valued, loved, and capable of great things.

In Your holy name we pray,
