This moment reflects not only an extraordinary season, but the leadership, character, and heart Fernando brings to everything he does. While the world celebrates his achievement on the field, families living with MS know him as something more — a teammate, an advocate, and a powerful voice for this community.

Fernando and his brother, Alberto, launched the Mendoza Brothers’ Fight Against MS, inspired by their mom, Elsa, who lives with MS, to shine a light on what MS looks like in families and to help fuel progress toward a cure.

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has extended its review of tolebrutinib (Sanofi, Inc.) by three months, setting a new target action date of Dec. 28, 2025. Tolebrutinib — an oral BTK-inhibitor — would mark the first disease-modifying therapy specifically to treat non-relapsing secondary progressive MS.
