The Church of the Nazarene is a Protestant Christian church in the Wesleyan-Holiness tradition, tracing its roots to an anniversary date of 1908. It was founded to spread the message of scriptural holiness (Christlike living) across the lands. Today the Church of the Nazarene is located in 156 world areas. The Church of the Nazarene is a Great Commission church (Matthew 28:19-20). As a global community of faith, we are commissioned to take the Good News of life in Jesus Christ to people everywhere and to spread the message of scriptural holiness (Christlike living) across the lands. The Church of the Nazarene bonds together individuals who have made Jesus Christ Lord of their lives, sharing in Christian fellowship, and seeking to strengthen each other in faith development through worship, preaching, training, and service to others. The Cove church of the Nazarene first opened its doors in 1984 and has served the Greater Fort Hood area ever since. Our church is made of members from all walks of life. Active Duty Military and Veterans make up the majority of the congregation. Our mission is to lead non-believers to a relationship with their Creator and Messiah while building-up, encouraging, and preparing followers of Jesus Christ to serve Him with their whole heart, mind, and soul. We are also members of the South Texas Nazarene District. Districts are groups Nazarene churches assembled together to help and advise one another.
