VR Kids VR Kids is the children’s ministry at Valley Ranch Baptist Church.

We get pretty excited to equip children (and parents) to begin the lifelong journey of following Jesus Christ, to love God wholeheartedly and others unselfishly. YouTube Channel = VR KIDS ONLINE

This Sunday, we’re wrapping up our lesson series about God being our safe place and our strength! We’ll remind our kids that even when life feels scary, unfair, or overwhelming, we can have hope because Jesus wins!

We are so blessed to have such an amazing team at Valley Ranch Children’s Ministry!

Meet Ms. Catherine—or, should we say, Dr. Catherine Lacey!

Catherine is a woman of many talents! Not only is she a pediatrician, but she is also an essential part of our Children’s Ministry team. Throughout the week, she works behind the scenes preparing Sunday lessons for our preschoolers and kids, gathering supplies so our wonderful volunteers are ready to teach, and helping coordinate volunteers and childcare staff.

But once a year, during Staying Healthy Week at our Weekday Preschool, Ms. Catherine puts her doctor hat back on! She visits our preschool classrooms, engaging with our little ones and helping them understand the importance of doctor visits in a fun, friendly way that helps ease their fears.

Thank you, Ms. Catherine, for sharing your many gifts with our ministry and for the love and care you pour into our children, families, and volunteers. We are so grateful for you!

Whatever plans your family has for this long weekend, my five-cent advice is simple: share your time! You don’t always need an elaborate activity, an expensive outing, or a perfectly planned day. Sometimes, the best memories are made sitting on the couch, listening to your kids, laughing together, or simply being present. Because years from now, they may not remember everything you planned for them… But they will remember how it felt to have you there.

✨ We had so much fun this week at VR Preschool! ✨

🩺 Monday, we had a special visit from Dr. Catherine Lacey, who taught our preschoolers that going to the doctor is important—and that we don’t have to be afraid!

🚒 Tuesday, we had our Fire Drill, and our preschoolers did an amazing job evacuating the building quickly and safely. Way to go, little ones!

🙏 Today, we wrapped up our week with Chapel, where we learned about Samson and how our strength comes from God!

We’re so excited for the long weekend and can’t wait to see our little ones back on Tuesday! Have fun, y’all!
